HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #3067 ORDINANCE NO. 3067 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE ARTICLE 951 ENTITLED M1-A INDUSTRIAL DISTRICTS WHEREAS Ordinance No. 3054 amends Article 960 of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code concerning parking and landscaping throughout the City, and Article 951 contains parking and landscaping standards which must conform to the provisions of Article 960; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby ordain as follows : SECTION 1. Article 951, Section 9510 . 11 of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code is hereby amended to read as follows : 510. 11 Parking. All developments shall comply with the standards outlined in Article 960 . The following standard shall also apply: (a) Any yard area not facing a street may be used solely for automobile parking provided such use is not in conflict with other code specifications. SECTION 2 . Article 951, Section 9510 . 12 of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code is hereby amended to read as follows: 9510.12 Loading. Loading areas shall be provided and comply with standards outlined in Article 960, as well as the following requirements . Loading facilities may not face a public street unless a use permit is approved by the Zoning Administrator subject to the following criteria: (a) The minimum setback for loading facilities shall be forty-five (45) feet from the right-of-way line. (b) Loading facilities shall not exceed twenty (20) feet in width. -1- (c) Loading facilities shall be screened from view in a fully enclosed structure with the door color compatible with that of the structure. (d) Installation of the loading facility shall not create an over-concentration of facilities on any one street as the Zoning Administrator shall endeavor to achieve variations in the street scene. (e) Any landscaping which is displaced by construction of loading facilities shall be provided elsewhere on the site. (f) Adequate area shall be provided for the safe operation of trucks in loading areas . (g) Trucking areas shall be appropriately paved and striped for the type of operation intended. SECTION 3 . This ordinance shall take effect on the effective date of Ordinance No. 3054 amending Article 960 of the Huntington Beach Municipal Code.
