HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #3188 h i ORDINANCE NO. 3188 is AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH r ADOPTING A NEW PRIMA FACIE SPEED LIMIT FOR BUSHARD STREET BETWEEN BROOKHURST STREET AND GARFIELD AVENUE WHEREAS, in September and October of 1992, the City of Huntington Beach conducted an engineering and traffic survey on Bushard Street between Brookhurst Street and Garfield Avenue in the City of Huntington Beach; and The City Council desires to establish a new prima facie speed limit on the aforesaid public street, pursuant to California Vehicle Code Section 22350 et seq. ; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows : 1. That the new prima facie speed limit on Bushard Street between Brookhurst Street and Garfield Avenue is 45 miles per hour, 2 . That the new prima facie speed limit on Bushard Street between Brookhurst Street and Garfield Avenue of 45 miles per hour will facilitate the orderly movement of vehicular traffic. 3 . That the new prima facie speed limit on Bushard Street between Brookhurst Street and Garfield Avenue of 45 miles per hour is reasonable and safe, 1/6/93 : 187: sg -l- 4 . That this ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after its adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 1st day of February _ 1993 .
