Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance #3313 ORDINANCE NO, 3313 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING DISTRICT MAPS 12 AND 16 OF THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ZONING AND SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE TO INCLUDE PRECISE PLAN OF STREET ALIGNMENT NO. 94-1 IN CONJUNCTION WITH GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT NO. 94-3 AND LOCAL COASTAL PROGRAM AMENDMENT NO. 95-1 WHEREAS, pursuant to the State Planning and Zoning Law, the California Government Code §65493 et seq., the Planning Commission of the City of Huntington Beach and the City Council of Huntington Beach have held separate, duly noticed public hearings to consider the Precise Plan of Street Alignment No. 94-1 in conjunction with General Plan Amendment No. 94-3 and Local Coastal Program Amendment No. 95-1 to reclassify Walnut Avenue between Sixth Street and the alley directly to the east of Main Street from its present designation as a secondary arterial to a local street on the City of Huntington Beach Circulation Plan of Arterial Highways and to reduce the right-of-way width for the portion of Walnut Avenue between Main Street to the alley directly to the east of Main Street from eighty (80) feet to seventy (70) feet. The seventy foot right-of-way width will reflect the existing conditions and will not result in any reduction of street width as presently constructed; and After due consideration of the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission and all other evidence presented, the City Council finds that the aforesaid amendment is proper and consistent with the General Plan, and the City Council finds that the Precise Plan of Street Alignment No. 94-1, in conjunction with General Plan Amendment No. 94-3 and Local Coastal Program Amendment No. 95-1, is reasonable and necessary to the orderly and efficient flow of traffic, for the preservation of the health and safety of the inhabitants of the City, and for the orderly development of the community; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby ordain as follows: SECTION 1. That the real property more particularly described in District Maps 12 and 16, described on Exhibits A and B attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is amended to include the Precise Plan of Street Alignment No. 94-1 in conjunction with General Plan Amendment No. 94-3 and Local Coastal Program Amendment No. 95-1 of the City of Huntington Beach. SECTION 2. The Community Development Director is hereby directed to amend Huntington Beach Ordinance Code Section 9061, District Maps 12 (Sectional District Map 11-6- — 11) and 16 (Sectional District Map 14-6-11) to reflect the Precise Plan of Street Alignment No. 94-1 in conjunction with General Plan Amendment No. 94-3 and Local Coastal Program Amendment No. 95-1 as described in Section I hereof Copies of said district maps, as amended hereby, are available for inspection in the Office of the City Cleric. 4/ordinance/precise/jmni/10/19195 1 A i TACH PLAIT NO, 2. 1 i 3313 SECTION 3.
