HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #3566 SST t<F#Diw3 ol ORDINANCE NO. 3566 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ELIMINATING THE TIME LIMIT ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF LOANS, ADVANCES AND INDEBTEDNESS FOR THE HUNTINGTON BEACH REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, Section 33333.6 of the Community Redevelopment Law (Health & Safety Code Section 33000, et seq.) applies to every redevelopment plan adopted on or before December 31, 1993; and Section 33333.6(e)(2) provides that on or after January 1, 2002, a redevelopment plan may be amended by a legislative body by adoption of an ordinance to eliminate the time limit on the establishment of loans, advances, and indebtedness required by Section 33333.6 prior to January 1, 2002; and The redevelopment plan ("Redevelopment Plan") for the Huntington Beach Redevelopment Project ("Project Area") was adopted on December 16, 1996 by Ordinance No. 3343 that merged the five previously adopted project areas; and Ordinance No. 3343 set a time limit of January 1, 2014 for establishing loans, advances and indebtedness for the Project Area; and The Redevelopment Agency of the City of Huntington Beach ("Agency") and the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach desire to eliminate the time limit on the establishment of loans, advances, and indebtedness for the Project Area contained in the Redevelopment Plan, NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. In accordance with Section 33333.6(c)(2) of the Community Redevelopment Law, the Redevelopment Plan is hereby amended by adoption of this Ordinance to eliminate the time limit on the establishment of loans, advances, and indebtedness required by Section 33333.6 of the Community Redevelopment Law prior to January 1, 2002. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published in the time and manner as required by law. 02ordltime-loans16118102 1 Ord.
