HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 102 March 21, 1910 RESOLUTION #102 A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING THEIR INTENTION TO IMPROVE A PORTION OF ORANGE AVENUE IN SAID CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH. Be it Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach: Sction 1. That the public interest and conven- ience require that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach to order the fol- lowing work to be done, to-wit: That the entire width of the roadway of Orange Avenue, in said city, from the West line of Railroad Avenue to the East line of Eleventh Street, including all intersections of street excepting the Intersection of Orange Avenue and Main Street, and excepting such portions of said streets and inter- sections of streets as are required by law to be kept in order or repqir by any person or company having railroad tracks thereon, and also excepting such portions as have already been graded and sanded and oiled to the official line and accepted , be graded, sanded and oiled to the official grade in accordance with the plans, profiles and cross-sec- tions of said work on file in the office of the City Engineer of said city, said plans and profiles being numbered No. 2, and cross-section No. 2, and in ;..further accordance with specifications for grading, sanding and oiling streets in the City of Huntington Beach, on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, said specifications being Number Res. 102 Page 2 Four as adopted by Ordinance No. 35 of said City, and which said plans, profiles and cross-sections and specifica- tions are hereby referred to for a more particular descrip- tion of said work. Section 2. The Street Superintendent shall post notice of this work as required by law, and shall also post and keep posted a notice similar in substance for a period of six days on or near the council chambers door of said Board. He shall also cause said notice to be published by one (1) insertion in the Huntington Beach News, a weekly newspaper published and circulated in said City of Huntington Beach, which is hereby designated by the said Board of Trustees of the said City of Huntington Beach as the news- paper in which said notice shall be published by said Street Superintendent . Section 3 . The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Resolution of Intention, and shall post the same conspicuously for two days on or near the council chamber door of said Board . He shall also cause the same to be published by tow (2) insertions in the Huntington Beach News, a weekly newspaper published and circulated in the said City of Huntington Beach, and hereby designated by the Board of Trustees of said City of Huntington Beach for that purpose, and thereupon and thereafter it shall take effect and be in force.
