HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 123 g� r RESOLUTION NO. 123 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING CERTAIN WORK TO BE DONE ON ORANGE AVENUE IN SAID CITY. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA. Section 1. That the public interest and convenience require, ; and that the Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach hereby orders the following street work to be done, to-wit: lst. That the entire width of the roadway of said Orange -, Avenue in said City, from the West line of Railroad Avenue to the East line of Eleventh Street, including all intersections of streets,, (excepting the intersection of Orange Avenue and brain Street, and ` k excepting such portions of said streets and intersections of streets as are required by law to be kept in order or repair by any person or company having railroad tracks thereon, and also excepting such Portions as have already been graded, sanded and oiled to the offleia, '�,, line and grade and accepted, ) be graded, sanded and oiled to the cffielal grade in accordance with the plans, profiles and cross- sections for said work on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City, said plans and profiles being numbered No.2, and in further accordance with specifications for grading, sanding and ailing streets in the City of Huntington Beach, on file in. y ` '*'''Office of the City Clerk of said City, said specifications ing,)io.4 as adopted by Ordinance Number 35 of said City, and. X �r h Said plans, profiles and cross-sections and specifications are hereby referred to for a more particular description of said work. Sec. 2. - The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish a no- tice of said public work, inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing said work and referring to the specifications posted or on file, by two (2) insertions in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly newspaper published and circulated in said City, and hereby designated by the Board of Trustees of the said City of Huntington Beach for that purpose. Said notice shall require a certified check or a bond, either as prescribed by law, and for an amount not less than ten per cent of the aggregate of the proposal. Said City Clerk is also directed to post said notice with specifications conspicu- ously for five days on or near the Council Chamber door of the said Board of Trustees. Sec. 3.- The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Resolution, and shall cause the same to be published by two insertions in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly newspaper published and circulated in said City of Huntington Beach, hereby designated for that purpose, and he shall also post and keep posted, said Resolution in three of the most public places in said City, for a period of two weeks , and thereupon and thereafter it shall take effect and be in force. Passed and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach, and signed by the President thereof; on the 6th day of May, 1910. Ed. Manning.
