HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 137 1 RESOLUTION NO. 137 A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING THEIR INTENTION TO IMPROVE A PORTION OF WALNUT AVENUE, IN SAID CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH. Be it resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach: Section 1. That the public interest and convenience require and it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach to order the following work to be done, to-wit: That the entire width of the roadway of Walnut Avenue in said city, from the East line of Eleventh Street to the West line of Third Street including all intersections of streets (except ing such portions of said streets and intersections of streets as are required by law to be kept in order or repair by any person or company having railroad tracks thereon,: and also excepting such portions as have already been graded and sanded and oiled to the official line and accepted) , and excepting the intersection of Walnut Avenue and Main Street, be graded , sanded and oiled to the official grade in accordance with the plans profiles and cross- sections for said work on ;file in the office of the City Engineer of said city, said plans and profiles being numbered Noll and cross- section No.11 and in further accord ancevdth specifications for grad- ing, sanding and oiling streets in the City of Huntington Beach, on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, said specifi- cations* being Number Four as adopted by Ordinance Number 35 of said City, and which said plans , profiles , cross-sections and specifi- cations are hereby referred to for a more particular description • of said work. 1. Section 2. The Street Superintendent shall post notice of this work as required by law, He shall also cause said notice to be published by one (1) insertion in the Huntington Beach News, a weekly newspaper, published and circulated in said city of Hunting- ton Beach, which is hereby designated by the said Board of Trustees of the said City of Huntington Beach as the newspaper in which said notice shall be published by said Street Superintendent. Section Three . The Dity Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Resolution of Intention and shall post the aame conspicuously for two days on or near the council chamber door of said Board. He shall also cause the same to be published by two (2) insertions in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly newspaper published and cir- culated in the said City of Huntington Beach, and hereby designated by the Board of Trustees of said City of Huntington Beach for that purpose, and thereupon and thereafter it shall take effect and be in full force.
