A RESOLUTION OF INTEATION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE CITY OF HUNTITGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING
THEIR INTENTION TO IMPROVE A PORTION OF OLIVE AVENUE IN
SAID CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH.
Be it resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of
Huntington Beach:
Section 1. That the public interest and convenience require
and it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Huntington Beach to order the following work to be done to-wit:
That the entire width of the roadway of Olive Avenue in
said city, from the East line of Eleventh Street to the East line
of Alley between First and Second Streets , including all intet-
sections of streets , (excepting such portions of saidstreets and
intersections of streets as are required by law to be kept in order
or repair by any person or company having railroad tracks thereon,
and also excepting such portiens as have already been graded and
sanded and oiled to the official line and accepted) , and excepting
the intersection of Olive Avenue and Main Street, be graded sanded
and oiled to the official grade in accordance witn the plans , pro-
files and cross sections for said work on file in the office of the
city engineer of said city, said plans and profiles being numbered
'No.10 and cross-section Nc.10 and in further accordance with
specifications for grading sanding oiling streets in the said
city of Huntington Beach, on file in the office of city clerk

of said city, said specifications being Number Four as adopted
by Ordinance No.35 of said City and which said plans and profiles

and cross-sections and specifications are hereby referred to
for a, more particular description of said work.
Section 2. The street superintendent shall post notice of
this work as required by law. He shall also cause said notice to
be published by one (1) insertion in the Huntington Beach News a
' weekly newspaper published and circulated in said city of Huntington

Beach which is hereby designated by the said Board of Trustees of the
said City of Huntington Beach as the newspaper in which said notice
shall be published by said street superintendent.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this Resolution of intention, and. shall post the same conspicuously
for two days (2) on or near the council chamber door of said Board.
He shall also cause the same to be published by two (2) insertions
f in the Huntington Beach News a weekly newspaper published and circu-
lated in said city of Huntington Beach and hereby designated by the
Board of Trustees of the said City of Huntington Beach for that
purpose , and thereupon and thereafter it shall take effect and be in
force.
Passed and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of
Huntington Beach this 15 day of August, 1910.

city, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution of Intention
was passed and adopted by said Board of Trustees and attested by the
City Clerk of said city, at a regular meeting of said Board of Trus'?es,
held on the 15 day of August, 1910, and that said Resolution was
adopted by the following vote :
AYES: Helme, Stewart, Franch, Manning.
NOES: None
ABSENT: Seely
