A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, DECLARING THEIR IN- TENTION TO IMPROVE A PORTION OF SEV�'NTH STREET, OF SAID CITY, AND PROVIDING THAT THE PROPOSED WORK BE DONE UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF AN ACT OF T_1E LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA) ENTITLED, PROVIDING FOR NORK UPON AND THE CON- STRUCTION OF SIDEWALKS AND CLIRBINGS WITHINUNI- CIPALITIES, APPROVED I,11ARCH 6, 1909. The Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach, do resolve as follows : Section 1. That the public interest and convenience re- quire and that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach to ;order the following work to be done , to-wit: (a) That a cement sidewalk, Five feet in width be eon- strutted along each and both sides of Seventh Street from the North line of Ocean Avenue to the South line of Palm Avenue (excepting such portions of said Seventh Street between said points, along which a cement sidewalk five feet in width has already been constructed and now is to the official line and grade) in accordance with specifications No.2 as adopted by Ordinance No. 29 of the said. City of Huntington Beach,for the construction of Cement sidewalks in the said City of Huntington Beach, on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City; and in further accord- ance with the plans , profiles and cross-sections for said work on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City; said plans, profiles and cross-sections being numbered No.15; to which specifi- cations, plans , profiles and cross-sections reference is hereby 1. • made for a more particular description of said work. Said sidewalk shall be so constructed that the line of the inner side of the same shall be Darallel to and one foot from the property line of the abutting property of said street. (b) That cement .curbs be constructed at grade along each and both sides of Seventh Street from the North line of Ocean Avenue to the South line of Palm Avenue ( excepting such portions of said Seventh Street, between said points , along which a cement curb has already been constructed and now is to the official line and grade) in accordance with Specifications No.l as adopted by Ordinance No. 28 of the City of Huntington Beach, for the construction of cement curbs in the City of Huntington Beach, on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City; and in further accordance with the plans, profiles and cross-sections for said work on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City; said plans, profiles and cross-sections being numbered No.19; to which specifications , plans, profiles and cross-sections reference is hereby made for a more particular des- cription of said work. The said curbs shall be so constructed that the outer,, edge of the horizontal surface thereof shall be on a line in said street 121 feet from and parallel to the property line of the abutting property of said street. Section 2. That the proceedings for the aforesaid improvemert shall be taken under an act of the Legislature of the State of California entitled "An Act to provide for work upon and the construction of sidewalks and curbing within municilalities , " approved March, 6, 1909. Section 3. The Superintendent of Streets shall post notice of this work as required by law. 2. Section 4. The City Cle-, k shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and shall cause the same to be published • by two consecutive insertions in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly newspaper printed and published in said City of Huntington Beach, and shall post the same conspicuously on or near the chamber door of the Board of Trustees , to-wit : the door of the City Hall of the City of Huntington Beach, and thereupon and thereafter it shall take effect and be in force.
