RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH KIIARDING CONTRACT
FOR THE IIJPROVE11ENT OF A PORTION OF "NALNUT
AVENUE IN SAID CITY.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach, do
resolve as follows :
Section 1. That whereas the Board of Trustees of the City
of Huntington Beach, having in open sesion on the 24th day of
October, 1910, at a special meeting of the said Board, publicly
opened, examined and declared all sealed proposals or bids offered
for doing the following work, to-wit:
That the entire width of the roadway of Walnut Avenue, in
said City, from the East line of Eleventh Street to the West line
of Third Street, including all intersections of streets ( excepting
such Dortions of said streets and intersections of streets as are
required by law to be kept in order or repair by any person or
company having railroad tracks thereon, and also excepting such
portions as have alreqdy been graded and sanded and oiled to the
official line and accepted, and excepting the intersection of
Walnut Avenue and Main Street) , be graded, sanded and oiled to the
official grade in accordance with the plans, profiles and cross-
sections for said work on file in the office of the City Engineer
of said City, said plans and profiles being numbered No.11 and cross--
section No.11 and in further accordance with specifications for
grading, sanding and oiling streets in the City of Huntington
Beach, on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, said
specifications being Number Four as adopted by Ordinance Number
35 of said city, and which said plans,

profiles , cross-sections and specifications are hereby referred to
for a more particular description of said work.
Section 2. And whereas , only one bid was filed with the
City Clerk for doing the said work, to-wit:-
That the B.R. Davisson Contracting Company, a corporation,
at ninety-three cents ($.93) per lineal foot of street, and whereas
this Board finds that the said B.R. Davisson Contracting Company
is the lowest regular responsible bidder for said work, and that
the bid of said Company for the doing of said work is a reasonable
bid:
Section 3. NOW THEREFORE, saAd Board of Trustees hereby
awards said contract to said lowest regular responsible bidder,
to-wit : To the B.R. Davison Contracting Company, a corporation,
at the price named for said work in its proposal on file for
said work.
Section 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to post notices
of said award conspicuously for five days on or near the Council
Chamber door of this Board of Trustees , to-wit:, on or near the door
of the City Hall of the City of Huntington Beach, and he is also
directed to publish said notice by one insertion in the Huntington
Beach News , a weekly newspaper, printed, published and circulated
in said City of Huntington 33each, and Therefor and hereby desig-
nated for that purpose.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certlfh to the passage of
this resolution and thereupon and thereafter it shall take effect
and be in force .
Passed and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of
Huntington Beach and signed by the president thereof this 24th

October, 1910 and that the same was passed by the following vote :-
AYES: Helme, Seely, Stewart, Manning.
