RESOLUTION No. 167.
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH DECLARING
THEIR INTENTION TO ITVTROVE A PORTION OF
FRANKFORT STREET OF THE SAID CITY, AND PRO-
VIDING THAT THE PROPOSED WORK OR INiPROVE-
TdiENT SHALL BE DONE UNDER AN ACT OF THE LEGIS-
LATURE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA PROVIDING
FOR WORK UPON THE CONSTRUCTION OF SIDEWALKS
AND CURBING WITHIN MUNICIPALITIES, APPROVED
LARCH 61 1909.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach do
resolve as follows :
Section 1. That the public interest and convenience
require , and that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees
of the City of Huntington Beach to order the following work
to be done , to-wit:
That cement curbs be constructed along each and both sides
of Frankfort Street from the East property line of Alabama Avenue
to the West property line of Delaware Avenue (excepting such por-
tions of said Frankfort Street ,etween said points , along which
a cement curb has already been constructed and now is to the
official lisle and grade) , in accordance with Specifications, No.l
as adopted by Ordinance No.28 of the said City of Huntington
Beach for the construction of cement curbs in the City of Hunt-
ington Beach, on file in the office of the City Clerk of said
City, to which specifications reference is hereby made and
thle same are made a part hereof, and also according to plans ,
profiles and cross sections for said work on file in the office
of the C ity Engineer of said city, said plans , profiles and cross-
sections being numbered No.20, and to which said plans , profiles

and cross-sections reference is hereby made for a more particu-
lar description of said work.
The said curbs shall be so constructed that the outer
edge of the horizontal surface thereof shall be on a line in
said street, ten (10) feet from and parallel to the property
line of the abutting property of said street.
Section 2. That the proceedings for the aforesaid im-
provements shall be taken under an act of the legislature of
the State of California entitled "An act to provide for work
upon and the construction of sidewalks and curbing within
I'lunicipalities" , approved I`4arch 6, 1909.
Section 3. The Superintendent of streets shall post
notice of this work as required by law.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this Resolution, and shall cause the same to be published
by two consecutive insertion in the Huntington Beach Dews , a
weekly newspaper published and circulated in said City of
Huntington Beach, and shall post the same conspicuously for
two (2) days on or near the council chamber door of the Board
of Trustees, to-wit : the door of the City Hall of the City
of Huntington Beach, and thereupon and thereafter it shall
take effect and be in force.
Passed and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City
of Huntington Beach this 5th day of December, 1910.
