RESOLUTION NO.171.
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, DECLARING THEIR INTENTION TO
CHANGE AND ESTABLISH THE GRADE OF GENEVA STREET
FROE THE EAST LIME OF HUNTINGTON AVENUE TO THE
?NEST LINE OF ALLEY BETWEEN DELAWARE AVENUE AND
ENGLAND AVENUE IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach
do Resolve as follows :
Section 1. That the public interest and convenience
require and that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees
of the City of Huntington Beach to Change and establish- the
grade of Geneva Street from the East line of Huntington Avenue
to the West line of the alley between Delaware Avenue and Eng-
land Avenue in the Eity of Huntington Beach, in accordance with
the following elevations :-
At the Northeast corner of the intersection of Geneva
Street with Huntington Avenue the grade shall be 48.97
At the Southeast corner of the intersection of
Geneva Street with Hun tington Avenue the grade shall be 48.77
At the Northwest corner of the intersection of
Geneva Street with California Avenue the grade shall be 43.30
At the Northeast corner of the intersection of
Geneva Street with California Avenue the grade shall be 43.00
A t the Southeast corner of the intersection of

At the Southwest corner of the intersection of
Geneva Street and California Avenue the grade shall be 43.00

At the Northwest corner of the intersection of

Geneva Street with Delaware Avenue the grade shall be 38.47
At the Northeast corner of the intersection of
Geneva Street with Delaware Avenue the grade shall be 38.00
At the Southeast corner of the intersection of
Geneva Street with Delaware Avenue the grade small be 37 .80
At the Southwest corner of the intersection of
Geneva Street with Delaware Avenue the grade shall be 38.20
At the Southeast corner of Lot 20, block 705,
Vista Del 11ar Tract, being the northwest corner of the
intersection of Geneva Street with the alley between
Delaware Avenue and England Avenue ,the grade shall be 33.30
At the Northeast corner of Lot 11, Block 605
Vista Del 11ar Tract,beirrg the Southwest corner of the
intersection of Geneva Street with the Alley between Dela-
ware Avenue and England Avenue, the grade shall be 33.10
Section 2. At all points between said described points
the grade shall be established so as to conform to a straight
line between said points on the same side of the said Geneva
Street.
Section 3. Elevations here given are in feet and hundredths
of feet above the City datum plane heretofore established in
Ordinance No.33 of the City of Huntington Beach, and refer to the
top of the burb at the designated points. When a street or ave-
nue corner is mentioned and the grade at such point given, the
grade shall be the grade at the top of the curb where the produced
property line along the street or avenue on which the grade is
being taken intersects the near curb line of the intersecting
street. 2
Section 4. The proceedings for the aforesaid change
pf grade shall be taken under the provisions of the "Change
of Grade Act of 190911 , and the Superintendent of Streets of
the City of Hun tington Beach shall cause notice of the
passage of this Resolution to be posted in the manner provided
by law, and. the s ald Street Superintendent shall also cause a
notice similar in substance to be published by two ( 2) inser-
tions in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly newspaper published
and circulated in the City of Huntington Beach and hereby desig-
nated for that purpose .
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this Resolution of Intention and shall post the same conspicu-
ously for two days on or near the council chamber door of the
Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach and he shall
also cause the sane to be published by two(2) insertions in the
Huntington Beach News , a weekly newspaper published and circu-
lated in the said City of Huntington Beach, and thereupon and
thereafter it shall take effect and be in force.
Passed and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City
of Huntington Beach this 19th day of December, 1911.

of said. City, do hereby certify , that the foregoing Resolution
of Intention was passed and adopted by tre Board of Trustees
of the City of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting held on
the 19th day of December, 1910, and that the said resolution
was passed and adopted by the following vote :
AYES : Helme, Stewart, French, '1ianning.
NOES: None .
