WHEREAS the volunteer fire department of this City
has reported the election of H. T. Sundbye as Chief, Willard
Parks, first assistant Chief, J. C. Fountain, Secretary and
Ned Brown, Treasurer, and
WHEREAS they report further that they have divided
the City into five fire wards as follows:
Ward No. 1 :- Railroad Avenue to Sixth Street and
Ocean Avenue to Acacia Avenue.
Ward No. 2: - Sixth to Eleventh and Ocean to Palm
and Railroad.
Ward No. 3: Northwest of Eleventh Street, Ocean to
Palm.
Ward No. 4:- Vista del Mar Tract.
Ward No. 5:`- vest of Railroad,north of Palm
and
WHEREAS they further report that an alarm of fire
shall be made by continuous ringing of the fire bell with
intermissions during which the bell will be tapped the number
of times corresponding to the Number of the Ward in which the
fire is located; that the drill call shall consist of reneti-
tions of three (3) taps; that the "fire out" Call shall consist
of repetitions of two taps;
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Trustees of the City
of Huntington Beach that the above report and all that is there-
in contained be and hereby is approved and adopted.
