A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE IMIPROVET,JENT OF A PORTION OF SEVENTH STREET IN SAID CITY. --------------- The Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach do resolve as follows:- Section 1. That whereas the Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach, having in open session on the 6th day of February, 1911 , at the regular meeting of the said Board, publicly opened, examined and declared all sealed proposals or bids offered for doing the following described work, to-wit: That the entire width of the roadway of Seventh Street, in said City, from the North line of Ocean Avenue to the South line of Palm Avenue (including all intersections of streets, except the intersection of Seventh Street with Orange Avenue, Olive Avenue and Walnut Avenue, and excepting such cortions of said streets and intersections of streets as are required by law to be kept in order or repair b-,y any person or company having railroad tracks thereon, and also excepting such portions as have already been graded, sanded and oiled • p y 1. to the official line and accepted) , be graded, sanded and oiled to the official grade in accordance with the plans, profiles and cross-sections for said work on file in the office of the City trngineer of said City, said plans, profiles and cross-sections being No. 19, and in further accordance with specifications for grading, sanding and oil- ing streets in the City of Huntington Beach, on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, said specifications being No. 5 as adopted by Ordinance No. 69 of said City, and which said plans, profiles and cross-sections and specifications are hereby referred to for a more particular description of said work. Section 2. And whereas Two Bids were filed with the City Clerk for doing the said work, to-wit:- That of W. A. Patterson at 90 cents per lineal foot, and that of The B. R. Davisson Contract Company, at $ 1.23 per lineal foot, and whereas this Board of Trustees finds that the said W. A. Patterson is the lowest regular responsible bidder for said work, and that the bid of said Party is a reasonable bid: Section 3. NOW THEREFORE, said Board of Trustees hereby awards said contract to said lowest regular responsible bidder, to-wit: to W. A. Patterson, at the price named for said work in his proposal for said work on file with the City Clerk. Section 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to post notices of award with specifications conspicuously for 2. e five (5) days on or near the council chamber door of this • Board of Trustees, to-wit: on or near the door of the City Hall of the City of Huntington Beach; he is also directed to publish said notice by one insertion in the Huntington Beach News, a weekly newspaper published in said City. Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter it shall take effect and be in force. Passed and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach and signed by the president thereof this 6th day of February, 1911. Ed.
