A RESOLUTION OF T E BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDERING CERTAIN WORK TO BE DONE ON FRANKFORT STREET OF SAID CITY AND PROVIDING THAT THE PROPOSED WORK BE ONE UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF AN ACT OF THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING FOR WORK UPON AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF SIDEWALKS AND CURBING WITHIN I'v1UNICIPALI TIES, APPROVED MARCH 6, 1909. --------------- The Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach do resolve as follows: Section 1. That the public interest and con- venience require and the Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach hereby orders the following street work to be done, to-wit: (a) That cement curbs be constructed along each and both sides of Frankfort Street from the East property line of Alabama Avenue to the West property line of Delaware Avenue ( excepting such portions of said Frankfort Street between said points, along *%,.ich a cement curb has already been constructed and now is to the official line and grade) , in accordance with Specifications No. 1 as adopted by Ord- inance No . 28 of the said City of Huntington Beach for the construction of cement curbs in the City of Huntington Beach, on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, to which Specifications reference is hereby made and the same are made a part hereof, and P!�;o according to plans, profiles and 1. j cross-sections for said work on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City, said plans, profiles and cross- sections being numbered No. 20, and to which said plans, profiles and cross-sections reference is hereby made for a more particular description of said work. The said curbs shall be so constructed that the outer edge of the horizontal surface thereof shall be on a line in said street ten (10) feet from and parallel to the property line of the abutting property of said street. Section 2. That the proceedings for the aforesaid im-orovement shall be taken under an act of the Legislature of the. State of California entitled "An Act to provide for work upon and the construction of sidewalks and curbing within Mlunicipal i ties, " approved Farch 6, 1909. Section 34. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish a notice of said public work inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing the said work and referring to the specifi, cations posted or on file by two (2) insertions in the Hunt- ington Beach News, a weekly newspaper published and circulated in the said City of Huntington Beach and hereby designated by the Board of Trustees of said City for that purpose. Said notice shall require a certified check or bond, either as required by law, and for an amount which shall not be less than' ten per cent of the aggregate of the proposal. Said City Clerk is also directed to post said notice with specifications conspicuously for five days on or near the council chamber door of the said Board of Trustees. 2. Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and shall cause the same to be published by two (2) insertions in the Huntington Beach News, a weekly newspaper published and circulated in said City of Huntington Beach, and hereby desi�mated for that purpose. He shall also post the said order conspicuously for two (2) days on or near the council chamber ' door of the Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach and thereupon and thereafter it shall take effect and be in force. Passed and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Reach and signed by the President thereof this 6th day of February, 1911.
