A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AWARD-
ING CONTRACT FOR THE IMPROVEIENT OF A
PORTION OF FRANKFORT STREET IN SAID CITY.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach
do resolve as follows :
Section 1. That whereas , the Board of Trustees of the
City of Huntington Beach, having in open session on the 2?th
day of February, 1911 , at the regular adjourned meeting of
said Board, publicly opened, examined and declared all sealed
proposals or bids offered for doing the following described
work, to-wit :-
That the entire width of the roadway of Frankfort Street
in the said city, from the East property line of Alabama Avenue
to the East property line of Delaware Avenue ( Including all
intersections of streets except such portions of said streets
and intersections of streets as are required by law to be
kept in order or repair by any person or company having railroad
tracks thereon, and also excepting such portions as have already
been graded and sanded and oiled to the official line and
accepted) , be graded, sanded and oiled to the official grade
in accordance with the plans, profiles and cross-sections for
said work on file in the office of the City Engineer of said
City, said plans, profiles and/cross-sections being numbered
No.20, and in further accordance with specifications for grad-
ing, sanding and oiling streets in the City of Hun—tington
Beach, on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City,

• said Specifications Being Number 5, as adopted by Ordinance
No.69 of said City, and which said plans , profiles, cross-
sections and specifications are hereby referred to for a more
Darticular description of said work.
Section 2. And Whereas Two Bids were filed with the
City Clerk for the doing of said work, to-wit :
That of "[. A. Patterson at 972 cts . per lineal foot, and
that 5f The B. R. Davisson, Contracting Company at $1.50 per
lineal foot, and whereas this Board of Trustees finds that the
said W. A. Patterson is the lowest regular responsible bidder
for said work, and that the bid of said Person, is °a=reasonable
bid:
Section 3. NOW THEREFORE, said Board of Trustees hereby
awards said contract to said lowest regular responsible bidder,
to-wit : to W. A. Patterson, at the price named for said work in
his proposal on .file for said work,
Section 4. The City 6lerk is hereby directed to post
notices of award with specifications conspicuously for five
(5) days on or near the council:.chamber door of this Board of
Trustees , to-wit: on or near the door of the City Hall of the
said City of Huntington Beach.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter it shall take
effect and be in force.
Passed and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City
of Huntington Beach and signed by the President thereof this

City, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington
Beach and signed and approved by the president thereof on the
9_?th day of February, 1911, and that the same was passed and
adopted by the following vote:-
AYES: Beely, French, Manning,
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Stewart, Helme.
