A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH; DECLARING THEIR IN-
TENTION TO I1PROVE A PORTION OF GENEVA STREET
IN SAID CITY, AND PROVIDING THAT THE PROPOSED
WORK BE DONE UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF AN ACT
OF THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA,
PROVIDING FOR WORK UPON AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF
SIDEIALKS AND CURBING WITHIN MUNICIPALITIES
APPROVED -( VROOMAN ACT )
The Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach
do resolve as follows :
Section 1. That the public interest and convenience
require and that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees
of the said C ity of Huntington Beach to order the following
work to be done, to-wit :
(a) That cement curbs be constructed at grade along
each and both sides of said Geneva Street in said City from
the East line of Alabama Avenue to the West line of Delaware
Avenue , ( excepting such portions of said Geneva Street between
said points along which a cement curb has already been con-
structed and now is to the official line and grade) in accord-
ance with Specifications No.l as adopted by Ordinance No.28 of
said City of Huntington Beach for the construction of cement
curbs in the said City of Huntington Beech, on file in the
Office of the City Clerk of said City; and in :further accord-
ance with the plans profiles and cross-sections for said work
on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City, aaid
plans , profiles and cross-sections being numbered No. 21a; to

which specifications, plans, profiles and cross-sections
reference is hereby made for a more particular description
of said work.

The said curbs shall be so constructed that the outer
edge of the horizontal surface thereof shall be on a line in
said street ten (10) feet from and parallel to the broperty
line of the abutting property of said Street.
(b) That a dirt sidewalk extending in width from the-
property line to the inner side of the curb be constructed
along each and both sides of Geneva Street in said City
from the East line of Alabama Avenue to the West line of
Delaware Avenue ( excepting such portions of said Geneva
Street between said points along w'n.ich a dirt sidewalk of such
width has already been constructed and now is to the official
line and grade) , according to -the following specifications :
The entire width of said sidewalk space to be brought to grade,
all lumps and clods broken and the surface of said space made
smooth and firm; and in further accordance with the plans , pro-
files and cross-sections for said work on file in the office of
the City Engineer of said City, said plans, profiles and cross-
sections being numbered No.21b, to which specifications , plans ,
profiles and cross-sections reference - is hereby made for a more
Darticular description of said work.
Section 2. That the proceedings for the aforesaid im-
provements shall be taken under the provisions of an act of •
the Legislature of the State of California.
Section 3. The Superintendent of Streets shall post
and publish notice of this work as required by law.

Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage of this Resolution and shall cause the same to be
published by two (2) consecutive insertions in the Huntington
Beach News , a weekly newspaper published and circulated in
said City of Huntington Beach, and shall post the same con-
spicuously for two (2) days on or near the council chamber
door of the said Board of Trustees to-wit: on or near the
door of the City Hall of the City of Huntington Beach and 30
days thereafter it gh.all take effect and be in force.
