HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 209A • RESOLUTION NO. 209 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, DECLARING THEIR INTENTION TO CHANGE AND ESTABLISH THE GRADE OF CERTAIN STREETS IN THE VISTA DEL MAR TRACT OF THE SAID CITY. The Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach do resolve as follows ; Section 1: That the public interest and convenience require and that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach to ;change and establish the grade of certiain portions of Alabama Avenue , Huntington Avenue, California Avenue, Delaware Avenue, Frankfort Street, Geneva Street, Hill Street, Hartford Street, Indianabolis Street and Florida Avenue as hereinafter mentioned and specified accord- ing to the following elevations at the Northeast corner of the intersection of California Avenue with Hartford Street the grade shall be . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 48.70 At the Southeast corner of the intersection of California avenue with Hartford Street the grade shall be 48.70 At the Southwest corner of the intersection of California Avenue with Hartford Street the grade shall be 48.90 At the Northwest corner of the intersection of California Avenue with Geneva Street the grade shall be 43.30 At the Northeast corner of the intersection of Califor- nia Avenue with Geneva Street the grade shall be 43.00 1. At the Southeast oorner of the intersection of Florida Avenue with -Indianapolis Street the grade shall be 34.50 At the Southwest corner of the intersection of Geneva Street with ;Indianapolis Street the grade shall be 33.05 At the Southeast corner of the intersection of Geneva Street with Indianapolis Street the grade shall be 32.40 Section 2. At all points on any one side of each and all specified streets between said described points the grade shall be established so as to conform to a straight profile line between said points on the same side of the sG.id streets-. Section 3. Elevations here given are in feet and hundredths of feet above the City Datum Plane heretofore established in Ordinance No.33 of the City of Huntington Beach and refer to the top of the curb at the designated points . When a street or avenue corner is mentioned and the grade at such point given, the grade shall be the grade at the top of the curb where the produced property line along the street or avenue on which the grade is being taken intersects the near curb line of the intersecting street. Section 4. The provisions for the af^resaid change is grade shall be taken under the orovisions of the "Change of Grade Avt of 190911 , and the Superintendent of Streets of the City of Huntington Beach shall cause notice of the passage of this Resolution to be posted in the manner provided by law, and the said Street Superintendent shall also cause a notice similar in substance to be published by two (2) insertions in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly newspaper published and circulated in the City of Huntington Beach, and hereby designated for that purpose. 4. 1 Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Resolution of Intention and shall post the same con- spicuously for two (2) days on or near the council chamber door of the Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach; to-wit, on or near the door of the City Hall of said City, and he shall also, cause the same to be published by two insertions in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly newspaper published ana circulated in said City and thereupon and there- after it shall take effect and be in force.
