HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 213 RESOLUTION N0. 213 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH DECLARING THEIR INTENTION TO IMPROVE A PORTION OF INDIANAPOLIS STREET IN SAID CITY OF HUN- TI "SGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA. The Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach, do resolve as follows: That the public interest and convenience require and it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the City of Hun- tington Beach to order the following work to be done. (a) That the cement curbs be constructed at grade along each and both sides of Indianapolis Street in said City from the Last line of the .Bight of shay of the Southern Pacific Railroad to the hest line of Delaware Avenue ( excepting such portions of said Indianapolis Street between said points , along which a cement curb has already been constructed and now is to the official line and grade) , in accordance with Specifications No.l as adopted by Ordinance No.28 of said City of Huntington Beach for the construction of cement curbs in said City of Huntington Beach, on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City; and in further accordance with the plans, profiles and cross-sections for said work on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City, said plans , pro- • files and cross-sections bein�� numbered No.28A; to which specifications , plans , profiles and cross-sections, reference is hereby made for a more particular description of said work. 1. • The said curbs shall be so constructed that the outer edge of the horizontal surface thereof shall be on a line in said street Ten (10) feet from and parallel to the property line of the abutting property of said street. (b) That a dirt sidewalk extending in width from the property lire to the inner side of the curb, be constructed along each and both sides of said Indianapolis Street in said City from the Southern Pacific Railroad to Delaware Avenue ( excepting such portions of said Indianapolis Street between said -)oints along which such a dirt sidewalk of such width or cement sidewalk has already been constructed and now is to the official line and grade) according to the following specifications: The entire width of said sidewalk space to be brought to grade , all lumps and clods broken and the surface of said space made smooth and firm: and in further accordance with the plans , profiles and cross-sections for said work on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City, said plans , profiles and cross-sections being numbered No.28b; to which specifications , plans, profiles and cross-sections , reference is hereby made for a more particular description of said work. Section 2. That the proceedings for the aforesaid improvements shall be taken under the provisions of an act of the Legislature of the State of California, entitled "An Act to provide for work upon and the construction of sidewalks and curbing within 141unicipalities , " approved Parch, 6, 1909 . Section 3. The Superintendent of Streets shall Post notice of this work' as required by law. 2. F Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and shall cause the same to be published by two (2) insertions in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly newspaper published and circulated in said City of Huntington Beach, and shall also past the same conspicuously for two days on or near the council chamber door of the Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach, to-wit, the door of the City Hall of said city, and thereupon and thereafter it shall take effect and be in firce .
