HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 225 August 7, 1911 / - RESOLUTION No. 223 Moved by French, seconded by Stewart that the fol- lowing Resolution, No. 223, be adopted, "Resolved that the bid of the Eureka Fire Hose Co. for 700 feet of Uncle Sam Brand Fire Hose, size 2 in at 65 cts. per foot, is hereby accepted and that the President and Clerk of this Board are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with said Company, to purchase the same. AYES : All. August 7, 1911 RESOLUTION No. 224 Moved by Helme, seconded by Stewart that the fol- lowing Resolution No. 224 be adopted, "Resolved that the Bid of the Bowen Rubber Co. for one hose cast No. 8 (as per cut attached) at $76 .50 is hereby accepted, and the City of Huntington Beach hereby orders, and binds itself to purchase from the said Company, the said Hose Cast . AYES: All August 7, 1911 RESOLUTION No. 225 Moved by French, seconded by Seely, that the fol- lowing Resolution No. 225 be adopted. Resolved: That the gift to the City of Huntington Beach, by the Huntington Beach Co. of Circle Park is hereby accepted and the City Attorney is hereby ordered to prepare the necessary papers, and report at the next meeting of this Board, and the City Clerk is hereby ordered to-spread this Resolution upon the Minutes of this Board and mail a copy to said Huntington Beach Co. i Resolution No. 225 coast . Be it further Resolved that a vote of thanks be and hereby is tendered to said Huntington Beach Co. for gift of said Park. AYES: Helme, Seely, Stewart, French, Manning NOES: None September 5, 1911 Resolution No. 226 P. 0. Wells, asked permission to cut the sidewalk down in front of his bicycle shop on Main Street, and on motion by Seely, seconded by Helme, Resolution #226 granting P. 0. Wells permission for same, was passed by the following vote: AYES : Helme, Seely, Manning NOES: None ABSENT: Stewart, French September 5, 1911 RESOLUTION No. 227 Moved by Helme, seconded by Seely that Resolution No. 227, Thanking the Volunteer Fire Department for their efficient work at the fire on Ocean Avenue (which is hereto attached and is hereby made a part of these minutes as if herein fully set forth) , be adopted .
