HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 238 RESOLUTION No. 238 WHEREAS, the office of City Engineer was declared vacant at an adjourned regular meeting, on February 7th, 1912, and WHEREAS, in view of the fact, that the City contem- plates the building and erection of a Municiapl Wharf or Pier, at the foot of Main Street in this City, in the near future, it is deemed expedient and necessary, at this time, to appoint, temporarily, a Civil Engineer, whose duty shall consist of advising the Board of Trustees on the Engineering and Structural questions, which will neccessarily arise during the construction of the said Wharf or Pier, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Mr. Thomas H. James, Esq, of Santa Monica, be and is hereby appointed City Engineer, during the Pleasure of this Board, with the salary of $10.00 and expenses, per diam. Motion made by French, and seconded by Seely that the Board adopt the resolution appointing Mr. Thomas H. James City Engineer. AYES : Helme., Seely, Stewart, French, Manning NOES: None ABSENT: None
