HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 262 June 10, 1912 RESOLUTION No. 262 Upon motion of Mr. Manning, seconded by Mr. Rosen- berger, the resolution with reference to the employment of the Raymond Concrete Piling Co. passed by the Board of Trus- tees on June 3, 1912, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Be it resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach, California, that the Raymond Concrete Pile Company of New York be and it is hereby employed by the City of Huntington Beach to make all necessary soundings and prepare complete plans and specifications in detail for the proposed reinforced concrete pleasure pier proposed to be built and constructed by said City of Huntington Beach for the sum of three per cent of the contract price of said pier. And be it further resolved that in case the said Ray- mond Concrete Pile Company is not the successful bidder for the contract for the construction of said pier then the said Raymond Concrete Pile Company is hereby employed to inspect the construction of said pier under and pursuant to the Board of Trustees of said City, and said Raymond Concrete Pile Company is to receive as full compensation for such inspection the further sum of two per cent of the contract price of said pier, provided, howeve, that in case the bonds voted for the construction of said pier should not be sold, then and in that event the said Raymond Concrete Pile Company is to have and receive nothing for any work or plans done by said Company and this resolution shall be void and of no effect . Res . 262 Page 2 In case said bonds are sold then the engineering fees provided for in this resolution are to be paid to said Ray- mond Concrete Pile Company at the time of the first install- ment of moneys are to be paid the successful bidder or con- tractor, and the inspection fees are to be paid pro rata as the work of construction is completed .
