4 Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach to open,
5 widen, straighten and extend Delaware Avenue in

16 !� The Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach do .
17 hereby resolve as follows:
1s Section 1. That the public interest and convenience of
19 % the people of the "City of Huntington Beach require, and that it
20 is the intention of the Board of Trustees of said City to order
21 the following street work done, to wit
22 That Delaware Avenue in said City be opened, widened, l
23 I straightened and extended from the South line of Frankfort Street
24 Southward to the right of way of the Los Angeles Inter-Urban`Rai14
25 way Company-, and North from the North line of Memphis Street to
26 j the North line of-Section Eleven (11) , Township Six (6) South,
27 Range .Eleven (11) 'Nest, S. B. B. & M. , in the City of Hunting
28 �� ton Beach, State of California, and that the width of the street
29 intended to be o ened , widened straightened and extended North
30 of Memphis Street shall-be sixty (69) feet and that the same be
31 opened, widened, straightened and extended through, over and
32 1 along the various tracts of private property over which the land

j deemed necessary to be taken and hereafter particularly des-
2 j, cribed passes, as and for a public street, and: that all of said
3 land deemed necessary to be taken, be taken, condemned and acquir-1
4 ad as and for said street.
5 i That the land deemed necessary and convenient by this Board
6 to be taken, condemned and acquired for the opening, widening,
7 straightening and extension of said Delaware Avenue, as aforesaid,)
8 is situated in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange,

State of California, bounded and particularly described as follows,

25 S. B. B. M. , by posting conspicuously along the line of said
26 contemplated. work or improvement at not more than three hundred

27 (300) fe: t in distance apart , and not less than three (3) in all,

23 notices of the passage of said Resolution of Intention. The

said notices shall be headed "NOTICE O.-F PUBLIC 'rORK,`' in letters
30 not less than one (1) inch in length, shall be in legible
31 characters, and shall state the fact of the passage of this

32 resolution, its date, and briefly, the work or improvement

proposed, and refar to this resolution for further particulars. �
2 He shall cause a notice similar in substance to be publish-
I� ed for four successive weeks in the "Huntington Beach News," a
4 weekly newspaper published and circulated in said City and here-
by designated by said Board of Trustees as a newspaper in which
6 said notice shall be published.
7 Section 4. The City Q-lerk shall certify to the passage
8 of this resolution and shall cause the same to be published by
9 two (2) consecutive insertions in the "Huntington Beach News," j
10 II a weekly newspaper published and circulated in said City of j
1.1 Huntington Beach, and shall post the same conspicuously for two j
12 (21) days on or near the council chamber door of the said Board
13 of Trustees, to wit: on or near the door of the City hall of the!
14 jl City of Huntington Beach, and thirty (30) days thereafter it shal�
15 take effect and be in force.

16 All of the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuance
17 I'I'� with the act of the Legislature of the State of California,

i3 j entitled, "An act to provide for laying out, opening, extending,
19 II widening, straightening or closing up, in whole or in part, any
20 street, square, lane, alley, court or place within municipalities
21 and to condemn and acquire any and all land and property necessary
22 or convenient for that purpose." Approved March 6, 1889, and
23 the several acts amendatory thereof or supplementary thereto.
