California. • 1 RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 225.—t" A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH DECLARING THEIR INTENTION TO IMPROVE A PORTION OF DELAWARE AVENUE AND OTHER STREETS AND AVENUES IN SAID CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH MENTIONED IN SAID RESOLUTION, AND PROVIDING THAT THE PROPOSED WORK BE DONE UNDER THE "IMPROVEPAENT ACT OF 1911. 11 The Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach do hereby resolve as follows: Section 1. That the public interest and con- venience of the people of the City of Huntington Beach require, and that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of said City to order the following work to be done and improvement to be made in said city, to wit: (a) That Seventeenth Street from the North city boundary (the center of Clay Street) to Delaware Avenue; and Delaware Avenue from Seventeenth Street to Frankfort Street; and Frankfort Street from Delaware Avenue to Alabama Avenue; and Alabama Avenue from Frankfort Street to Accacia Street; and Accacia Street from Alabama Avenue to the right of way of the Southern Pacific Railway Company, be paved, guttered, crowned, graded, capped and oiled to the official grade thereof in accordance with Specifications No. 7 as provided in Ord- inance No. 113 of said city. • (b) That Atlanta Street from the Los Angeles Inter- urban Railway Company to the east line of Lake Avenue be paved, 1. improved and constructed to the official grade thereof in accordance with Specifications No. 6 a.s provided in Ordinance No. 111 of said city. All of which said specifications are on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City of Hunt- ington Beach. Section 2. That said Board of Trustees do hereby determine and declare that said proposed work and improve- ment is of more than local or ordinary public benefit and will affect and benefit the lands and district hereinafter describ- ed and which said district is hereby declared to be the dis- trict affected and benefited by said work and improvement and that therefore the entire cost and expenses of said work and improvement shall be and are hereby made chargeable against and shall be assessable upon said lands end district, which district is within the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, and the exterior boundaries of the lands affected and benefited by said work, exclusive of said strip of land sought to be improved, and exclusive of any land wit:iin said boundaries which is now part of the public streets, is particularly described as follows, to_7Tit: Beginning at the point of intersection of the North city boundary line with the quarter section line running North and South through Sections Two (2) and Eleven (11) , Township 6 South, Range 11 West; S. B. & M. , to the intersection of the last mentioned line with the Southerly line of Atlanta Street; thence Westerly along the Southerly line of Atlanta Street to the Easterly line of Lake Avenue; thence Northerly along the Easterly line of Lake Avenue to the Northerly line of Atlanta Street; thence Easterly along the Northerly line of Atlanta Street to the Above mentioned Quarter section line through Sections Two (2) and Eleven (11) , Township 6 South, Range 11 West, S. B. B. & M. ; thence Northerly along the last described line to the point of beginning. Section 3. The Board of Trustees of said City of Huntington Beach hereby further resolve and determine the serial bonds shall be issued to represent assessments of Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) or over. for the cost and expense of said work and improvement; said serial bonds shall extend over a period of nine (9) years from the second of January next succeeding their date, and an even annual pro- portion of the principal sum thereof shall be payable by coupons on the second day of January every year of ter thbir date until the whole is paid, and the interest shall be payable semi-annually by coupon on the second days of January and July, - respectively, of each year, at the rate of six (6%) per cent. per annum, on all sums unpaid until the whole of said principal and interest are paid. Section 4. All work shall be done in accordance with the plans and specifications heretofor.e adopted for doing said work how on file in the office of the City Engineer of • said City. 3. Section 5. The City Clerk shall cause this Res- olution of Intention to be published twice in the Huntington Beach News, a weekly newspaper published and circulated in said city and hereby designated for that purpose by the Board of Trustees. Section 6. The Street Superintendent shall immediately cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of said contemplated work and improvement and in front of all the property liable to be assessed, notices of the passage of this resolution of intention in the manner and form required by law. Section 7. All of the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuance of an act of the Legislature of the State of California, designated as the "Improvement Act of 1911, " approved April 7, 1911. W.
