The Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach, Calif ornia, hereby resolve as follows: Section 1. That the public interest and public necessity of the people of the City of Huntington Beach demand that the following municipal improvements be acquired and procured, to wit The acquisition of fire apparatus for the Tire Department of said City of Huntington Beach. That the cost of such improvement and acquisition of sair fire apparatu2 for said city and said municipal improvements will be too great to be paid out of the ordinary araival income and revenue; that the object of said acquisition and improvement is to be for the installment of fire apparatus in and for said city and the estimted cost of which is Six Thouesnd hive gundred Dollars ($6500.00) section 2. Resolved that in order that the said city pay the cost of the acquisition and procurement of the foregoing municipal improvement that bonds of said city be issued as follows, to wit: That bonds for the sum of Six Thousand five Hundred cellars ( 500.00) be issued for the acquisition and proeuremat of said fire apparatus for the Fire Department of said city. Resolved that for determining said question a special election of the qualified voters of the City of Hunt- ington Beach shall be hereafter called for the purpose of sub- mittiAg the said question and proposition whether said amount of bonds shall be issued to raise money to pap for the ate and procurement of said municipal improvements in said city. . Section 4. Resolved that the proceedings of this board are and shall be in accordance With an act of the Legislature of the State of California, entitled "An act authorizing the incurring of indebtedness by cities, towns sad municipal cor- porations for municipal improvements and regah ting the acquisition, construction or completion thereof," Which became a law under constitutional provision Without the governorts approval, February 25, 1901. and the amendments thereto. Section 5. Resolved, that the City Clerk of said city shall certify to the- passage and adoption of this resolution and shall cause the same to be published for one week in the Huntington Beach Hews a weekly newspaper published and cir- culated in said City of Huntington Beach, and thereupon and thereafter it shall take effect and be in force.
