RESOLUTION OF INTENTION

A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD',OF TRUSTEES OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH DECLARING ITS IN-
TENTION TO InPROVE PORTIONS OF SEVE114TEENTH
STREET, DELXVARE AVENUE, FRANKFORT STREET,
ALABAP.iA AVENUE, ACACIA AVENUE AND ATLANTA
STREET IN SAID CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, AND
PROVIDING THAT THE PROPOSED WORK BE DONE
UNDER "THE I1.1PROVEIJENT ACT OF 1911. tl
The Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach
do hereby resolve as follows :
Section 1. That the public interest and convenience of
the people of the City of Huntington Beach require, and that it
is the intention of the Board of Trustees of said City to order,
the following stated work to be done and improvements to be made
in said City, to-wit:
(a) That Seventeenth Street from the north city boundary
( to-wit, the center of C lay Street ) to be westerly boundary of
Delaware Avenue; and Delaware Avenue from the southerly boundary
of Seventeenth Street to the south boundary of Frankfort Street;
and Frankfort Street from the west boundary of Delaware Avenue
to the east boundary of Alabama Avenue; and Alabama Avenue from
the north boundary of Acacia Avenue to the north boundary of Atlan-
ta Street , ( excepting therefrom the portion of Alabama Avenue
between the south boundary of Frankfort Street and the north
boundary of Atlanta Street, all of which heretofore has been wor-
ked and improved to the official grade) ; and Acacia Avenue from
the west boundary of Alabama Avenue to the right of way of the
Southern Pacific Railway Company, be paved, guttered, crowned,

graded, capped, oiled, improved and constructed to the official •
grade thereof in accordance with specifications No.8, as pro-
vided in Ordinance No.125 of said City, and in accordance with
plans Nos .100 and 101, all .f nvhich said specifications and
plans are now on file in the office of the City Engineer of the
City of Huntington Beach, and are hereby referred to for a more
oarticular description of said work and improvements.
(b)- That Atlanta Street from the right of way of the Los
Angeles Inter Urban Railway Company to the right of way of the
Southern Pacific Railway Company, be !paved, improved and con-
structed structed to the official grade thereof, in accordance with Speci-
fications No.6 as provided in Ordinance No,Tll of said city, and in
accordance with plans Nos. 100 and 101. All of which said speci-
fications and plans are on file in the office of the City Engin-
eer of said City of Huntington Beach, and. are hereby referred
to for further and more particular description of said work
and improvements.
(c) That corrugated iron culverts be constructed across
and in the aforesaid Streets at the places shown on and in
accordance with the said plans and specifications hereinbefore
mentioned and referred to, which plans and specifications are here-
by referred to for a more particular description of said work
and the location of said culverts.
Section 2. That said Board of Trustees do hereby deter-
mine and declare that said proposed world and improvement is of
more than local or ordinary public benefit and will affect and
benefit the lands and district hereinafter and which %a:14L dis-

cost and expenses of said work and improvement shall be and
are hereby made chargeable against and shall be assessable upon r
said lands and district, which district is within the City of
Huntington Beach, County of Orange , State of California, and
the exterior boundaries of the lands affected and benefited
by said work, exclusive of said strip of land sought to be
improved, and exclusive of any land within said boundaries which
Is now part of the public streets , is particularly described
as follows, to-.grit :
Beginning at the point of intersection of the North City
boundary line with the quarter section line running ,north and
South through Sections Two (2) and Eleven (11) , Township 6
South, Range 11 West, S. B. B. & 11. ; and running thence Easterly
along the North city boundary line to a point on the Easterly
line of Section Two ( 2) , Township 6 South, Range 11 ?`Vest, S.B.B.
& X. ; running thence Southerly along the East city boundary
line 1320 feet to a point; thence Easterly along the city boun-
dary line 1188 feet more or less to a point; thence in a general
Southerly direction, following all the different courses of the
Easterly city Boundary line to the intersection of the Easterly
line with the average high tide line of the Pacific Ocean; thence
� ort!l,esterly along the average high tide line of the Pacific
Ocean to its intersection with the quarter section line running
North & South through Sections Two ( 2) and Eleven (11) , Township
6 South, Range 11 '.Nest , S. B B. & LT. ; thence Northerly along
. the last described line to the point of beginning.
Section 3. The Board of Trustees of said City of

Huntington Beachhereby further resolve and determine that
serial bonds shall be issued to represent assessments of
Twenty-five Dollars ( '?25.00) or over for the cost and expense
of said work and improvement; said serial bonds shall extend
over a period of nine (9) years from the second of January
next succeeding their date , and an even annual proportion of
the principal sum thereof shall be ;payable by coupons on the
second day of January every year after their date until the
whole is paid, and the interest shall be payable semi-annually
by coupon on the second days of January and July, respectively,
of each year, at the rate of seven (7%) per cent , per annum,
om all sums unpaid until the whole of said principal and in-
terest are paid.
Section 4, All work shall be done in accordance with the
said plans and specifications heretofore adopted for doing said
work now on file in the office of the said City Engineer of said
City.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall cause this Resolution of
Intention to be published twice in the Huntington Beach News,
weeny newspaper published and circulated in said City and
hereby designated for that purpose by the Board of Trustees .
Section 6. The Street Superintendent shall immediately
cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of said contem-
plated work and improvement and in front of all the property
liable to be assessed notices of the passage of this Resolution
of Intention in the manner and form required by law.
Section 7. A1.1 of the herein proposed work shall be done in
pursuance of an act of the Legislature of the State of California
