The Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach, California, do hereby resolve as follo�-,_Ts: Section 1. That all of the said work shall be done in ac- cordance =uith the aforesaid plans, profiles, cross-sections and specific-tions, and shall be done in pursuance of and in accord- ance with the -orovisions of an act of the legislature of the State of California, designated s the "Iamroveynent Act of 1911, 11 approv- ed April 7. 1911. Section 5. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to post not-ices of s,;D.icL v­rork, toz et..-er ,fi!ith the plans and specifications t'L-ie.,.-'efor, conspicuously, for five days on or near the council chamber door, to-wit: The front door of the City Hall in the City of Huntington Beach, California, inviting sealed proposal,,7 or bids for doing the work ordered; and he is directed to publish: a notice inviting such pro nola.ls, referrin,­ to the specifications posted or on file, in tvro consecutive issues of the Huntington Beach news, a weekly newspaper -published and circulated in said City of Hunting- ton Beach, and hereby designated for that purpose; that the time • • fixed in said notices for t-heopening of bids shall be not less than ten days from the time of the first publication, or ?posting, of said notices; that the proposals or bids offered shall be accompanied by a check, payable to the City, certified by a responsible bank for an amount, x-^hich shall be not less than ten per cent. of the aggregate of the proposal, or by a bond for the said amount and so payable, signed by the bidder and tvo sureties , who shall- justify before an of`: icer com-oetent to administer an oath in double the said amount, and over and above all statutory exemptions.
