A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF HUNT-
INGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION M0 ORDER THE
C."NSTRUCTION OF SEWEaS ALONG AND IN CERTAIN STREETS, ALLEYS, AND
PUBLIC WAYS IN SAID CITY OF HUNTI ?GTON BEACH, L�_ND PROVIDING THAT
THE PROPOSED WORK BE DONE UNDER " THE IMjPROVEiviENT ACT cf 191111 .
The Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach do
hereby resolve as follows :
Section 1. That the public interest and convenience re-
quires and that it is tie intention of the Board of Trustees of the
said City to order the following stated and described work to be
done and improvement to be made in said City, to-wit:
That sewers be constructed for sanitary purposes along and
in certain Streets and Alleys in said City, the center lines of
said sewers being described as follows , to-wit :
Commencing in the first alley Northwesterly from Tenth Street
at a point four and a half feet Northeasterly from the Southwest-
erly line of the first alley Northeasterly from Ocean Avenue ,
which point is four and a half feet Southeasterly from the North-
westerly line produced of the first alley Northwesterly from
Tenth Street; running thence Northeasterly in said first mentioned
alley along a line four and a half feet Southeasterly from and
parallel to Uhe Northwesterly line of said first mentioned alley
to a -point eighteen feet Southwesterly from the Southwesterly
line of Acacia Avenue.
The said sewers shall be constructed, and the work of con-
structing the same shall be done, in accordance with certain
plans, profiles and specifications and careful estimates of
the costs and expenses thereof, heretofore prepared and furnished
to the City Council of said City by the City Engineer of said
City, the said specifications being specifications No.9, as

adopted and provided by Ordinance No.143 of seid City, and the
said plans and -profiles being numbered 120, 200, 205, 207 , 208
and 2.04; all of said plans , profiles and specifications being now
on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City of
Huntington Beach, and each and all of said plans , profiles and
specifications are hereby referred to for a more particular des-
scription of said work; and it is proposed that the depth, size,
material, manner of construction and location of said sewers
shall be in accordance with the aforesaid plans , profiles and
specifications.
Section 2. The said Board of Trustees hereby determines and
declares that said purposed work and improvement is of more than
local or ordinary public benefit, and will affect and benefit
the lands and district hereinafter described, and which said
district is hereby declared to be the district affected and bene-
fited by said work and improvement, and that, the entire cost and
expense of sct-.id work and improvement shall be , and are hereby,
made chargeable against and shall be assessable upon said lands
and district, which district is within the City of Huntington
Beach, County of Orange, State of California, and the exterior
boundaries of scid district and of said lands affected and bene-
fited 'by said work and improvement , exclusive of any land within
said Boundaries which is now a part of the public streets , alleys
and stays , are particularly described as follows , to-wit:
Beginning a.t the point of intersection of the Northwesterly
line of Tenth Street with the Southwesterly line of the first
alley 1'nrthea.sterly from Ocean Avenue and running thance North-
easterly along the Northwesterly 11,ne of Tenth Street to its
intersection with the Southwesterly line of Acacia Avenue, thence

Northwesterly along the Southwesterly line of Acacia. Avenue
to its intersection with the Southeasterly line of Eleventh
Street, thence Southwesterly along the Southeasterly line of
Eleventh Street to its intersection with the Southwesterly
line of the first all-ley Northeasterly from Ocean Avenue , thence
Southeasterly along the Southwesterly line of the last mentioned
alley to the point of beginning.
Section 3. That serial bonds shall be issued to repre-
sent assessments of 25.00, or over, for the cost and expense of
said work and improvement; that said serial bonds shall extend
over a period of nine years from the 2nd day of January next suc-
ceeding their date, and an even annual portion of the principal
sum thereof shall be payable , by coupons , on the 2nd day of
January every year after their date, until the whole is paid,
and the interest shall be palrable semiaannually, by coupons ,
on the 2nd day of January and July, respectively, of each year
at the rate of seven per cent per annum, on all sums unpaid,
until the whole of said orincioal and interest are paid.
Section 4. All of said work shall be done in accordance
with the aforesaid plans , profiles and. specifications heretofore
prepared and furnished by the City Engineer of said City, and
adopted for the doing of said work, and which are now on file
in the office of the City Engineer of said City, and are hereby
referred to for further and more particular description of said
work.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall cause this Resolution
of Intention to be published twice in the Huntington Beach News ,
a. weekly newspaper published and circulated in said City, and .

hereby designated for that purpose by said Board of Trustees .
Section 6. The Street Superintendent of said City shall .
immediately cause to be conspicuously posted along; the line of
said contemplated work and improvement , and in front of all
property liable to be assessed, notices of the passage of this
Resolution of Intention in the manner and form required by law.
Section 7. All of said proposed work and improvement shal•1
be done in pursuance of an act of the Legislature of the State
of California, designated as the Improvement Act of 1911, approved
April 7th, 1911.

troduced and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of
