RRESOLUTIONOF IIINTTERITION No.270 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF HUNTIT',3GTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS IN- TENTION TO ORDER CERTAIN PORTIONS OF CERTAIN STREETS IN SAID CITY CLOSED UP, AND PROVIDING THAT THE SAME BE DONE UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF AN ACT OF THE LEGIS- LATURE OF CALIFORNIA, APPROVED 1QARCH 6TH, 1889, AND ACTS AI+IENDATORY THEREOF. The Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach -do hereby resolve as follows : Section 1. That the public interest and convenience require , and that it is the intentiot of the Board of Trustees of said City to order, the following described portions of certain Streets , in-said City to be closed up and abandoned as public Streets, to-wit: Seventeenth Street , as shown on that certain reap of the East Side Villa Tract recorded on page 65 of Book 4 of Miscell- aneous laps , Records of Orange County, California, from the westerly terminus of Seventeenth Street as shown on the above mentioned map of the East Side Villa Tract to a line which is the Northwesterly line of Seventeenth Street produced Southwest- erly from Yorktown Street. Section 2. That said Board of Trustees hereby determines and declares that the proposed work is for closing up of said portions of said Street , and that all of the owners of adjacent property and of property liable to be affected by the closing up of said portions of said Street have requested that the said portion of said Street be closed up; and that no damage or in- jury to adjacent property will be done thereby and no costs in- curred by the closing un of said portion of said Street, and that no assessment is, or will be necessary fcrthe closing up of said 1. a-. portion of said street. Section 3. That all of the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuance of an Act of the Legislature of California, entitled "An ,Act to provide for the laying out, opening, extend- ing, widening, straightening, or closing up in while , or in part, any street, square, lane , alley, court or place within munici- palities , and to condemn and acquire any and all land and property necessary or convenient for that purposeg, approved March 6th, 1889, and the several acts amendatory thereof or supplemental thereto. Section 4. The Huntington Beach News, is hereby desig- nated as the Meekly newspaper published and circulated in said City, in wk iGh the Street Superintendent of said City shall cause to be published notice of the passage of this Resolution.
