The Board of Trustees oll the City of H-untington Beach do hereby resolve as follows: Section 1. That the public interest and convenience re- quire and that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of said City to order, the follo�r_ring described work to be done and improvements to be made in and upon certain alleys, streets and public Olic ways in said City, to-wit: That sewers be constructed for sanitary -purposes along and in certain Streets, Alleys, --Ind Public lir,,ays in said City, the cen- ter lines of said sewers being described as folloti,,!s, to-vit: Commencing in the first alley .11'orthvesterly from Sixth Street at a point four and one-half feet Northeasterly from the Southwester- ly line of the first alley northeasterly from Ocean Avenue, which point is four and one-half feet Southeasterly fro.-,ii the Northwest- erly line produced of the first alley Yorthwestilerly from Sixth Street; running thence Northeasterly in said first mentioned alley to a. point in the center line of Seventh Street. The said sewers shall be constructed and the v.,,ork of con- structinZ the same shall be done in accordance with certa�.in -plans, profilles anc_ specifications and careful estimates of the costs and expenses thereof, heretofore prepared and furnished to the City Council of said City by the City Engineer of said City, the said specifications being specifications 111o. 9, as adopted and provided by Ordinance Ikio. 143 of said City, and the said plans and profiles being numbered 128, 2001 205, 207 and 2021; all of said plans, pro- files and specifications beinC c,' now on file in the office of the l City Engineer of said City of HuntinE;ton Beach, and each and all of said 'plans, profiles and specifications are hereby referred to for a more particular description of said work; and it is proposed that the depth, size, material, manner of construction and location of said sewers shall be in accordance rich the aforesaid plans, profiles an(! specifications. Section 2. That said Board of Trustees hereby determines and declares that said nroposed work and improvement is of more than local or ordinary public benefit; that said proposed sewers will be located near top•ether and will connect with the same main line and form -portions of the same Q;eneral sewer system of said the City, and 1,Iill affect and benefit/lands and district hereinafter described, and which said district is hereby declared to be the district affected and benefited by said work and improvement, and that, the entire cost an;_-', P_'-_x-I)ense of said work and improvement shall be, and are hereby, made chargeable against and shall be as- LD essable upon said lands and district, which district is ��rithin the City of Huntington 'Beach, County of Orange, State of California, and the exterior boundaries of said district and. of said lands affected and benefited by said work and improvement , exclusive of any land within said boundaries which is now a part of the public streets, alleys, and ways, are particularly described, as follows: to—wit: • Beginning at the point of intersection of the Northwesterly line of Sixth Street with the Southwesterly line of the first al- ley 'ortheasterly from Ocean avenue and running thence Yortheast- erly along the ^TorthRresterly line of Sixth Street to its intersec- tion with the westerly line of ain Street; thence ''Northerly along the `" esterly line of air_ Street to its intersection " ith tr,e South line of Crest avenue; thence 1esterly aloe ; the Southerly line of vrest Avenue to its intersection �:rith the Southeasterly line of Tenth Street; thence Southerly along the Southeasterly line of Tehth Street to its intersection smith the South= esterly line of Palm Avenue; thence Soutiiv!esterly along the Southwesterly line of Palm Avenue to its intersection �srith the Southeasterly line of :eighth Street; thence Southiiesterly alonL- the Southeasterly line of Eighth Street to its intersection with the Southwesterly line of the first alley 1?ortheasterly from Ocean Avenue; thence Southeasterly along the South�.resterly line of the las+- mentioned alley to the point of beginning. Section 3. Thy t said "oard of Trustees hereby further . determines that serial bonds shall be issued to represent assess- ments of 25.00, or over, for the cost an:'_ expense of sn id vrork and improvements; that said serial bonds shall extend over a per- iod of nine yes>rs from the 2nd day of January next succeeding their date, and an even annual portion of the principal sum there- of shall be na.yable, by coupon, on the 2nd day of January every year after their date, until the whole is paid, and the intereat shall be r)ayabie semi-annually, by coupon, on the 2nd day of Jan- -4- • • uary and July, respectively, of eachyear at the rate of seven per 1 0 cent -Per annum on all sui-.-is un-pznid, until the v!hole of said princi- pal and interest are -paid. Section 5. The City Clerk of said City shell cause this Resolution of Intention to be 7Dublished twice in t1he Huntington Beach News, a weekly nei�rslpa,per, printed, published and circulated in said City, and hereby designated by said Board of Trustees for that nurnpose. Section 6. The Street Su­)erintendent of said City shall forthwith cause to be conspicuously posted alop�? the line of said contemplated work and im-oa:,ovement, at not more than 300 feet in distance apart, but not less than three in all, and alonr; all the open streets within said district at not more than 300 feet in distance 2-,part, but not less ti-.1P.n three in all of each street, notices of the Dassa`,e of this Resolution of Intention in the mariner and form required by 'Law, which notices shall contain also a statement of the day, hour and place ,ihen and where any and all persons having any objections to the; proposed work and improvements may antnear before the seid Board of Trustees and show cause why said i3ro-oosed `work and improvements should not be carried out in accordance nrit-h this Resolution. -5- Section 7. All the herein nro-posed ti�fork and improvements and all nroceedin.-�'s taken in regard thereto shall be in -pursuance of and in accordance with the aforesaid Act of the Legislature of the State of California, designated as the Improvement Act of 1911, approved April 7th, 1911, and the several acts amendatory ti.ereof.
