A Resolution ordering; the work, pursuant to
Resolution of Intention No. 280 of the Board
Of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach, Cal-
ifornia, do hereby resolve, as follows:
Resolved, that whereas the Board of Trustees of said City of
Huntington .Beach did on the lst day of Nov. , 1915, pass its Reso-
lution of Intention No. 280 to order the hereinafter described
'cork to be done and improvements to be made in said City of Hunting-
ton Beach, which Resolution of Intention was duly and regularly
published as required by laTAr, as appears by the affidavit of Jas. J.
Conrad, now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of
Hunting'-Ion Bleach; and whereas, notices of the -)assage of s_.id Reso-
lution of Intention ''o. 280, headed Notice of Improvement were duly
and legally posted by the Street Su:oerintendent of said City along
the line of said centemplated rrork and improvement and in front of
all t_ie property liable to be assessed therefor, in form and man-
ner as required by law, immediately after the publication of said
Resolution of Intention, as ap1-)ea.rs by the affidavit of J. Tinsley,
Street Superintendent of the said City of Huntington Beach, who,
upon the comnletion of the nostinz_ of said notices forthwith filed
said affidavit in the of-i_ice of the Cite Clerk of said City, mak-
ing oath that he completed the postin_pj� of said notices on the 16th
day of November, 1915; and, L,ahereas, more than fifteen days have
exi)ired since the day of the second publication of said Resolution
Sof Intention L,1o. 280, and the completion of the posting; of said
"Notices of Improvement, " therefore be it

the work herein described, end the Hoard of Trustees of said City

specifications therefor, conspicuously for five days on or near
the Council Chamber door of the City Council, or Board of Trustees

City of Huntington reach, inviting sealed proposals or bids for
doing the work ordered; andl� said City Clerk I..s directed to publish
a not ce inviting; such- -proposals t=nd referring to the specifications

nei.�Tspaper published and circulated in the City of Huntington Beach,
and hereby designated for that purpose, and it is ordered that the
time fixed for the opening of said -proposals or bids shall be not
less than 10 days from t o time of the first -publication or posting
of said notice.
Be it further resolved, that all proposals or bids offered for
doing said it,orti shall be acco;npanied by- a check, payable to the City,
certified by a responsible bank, for an amount rhich shall not be
less than ten per cent of the aggregate of the proposal, or by a.
bond for the said _,mount, and so payable, si ned by the bidder and
t1ro sureties who sha.11 ,justify before an officer competent to ad-
minister an oath, in double said amount, over and above all statu-
tory exemptions.
