A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE CITY OF -iUNTINGTON BEACH DIRECTING THE
CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR FURNISHING SAID
CITY WITH GAS.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach,
California, does hereby resolve as follows:
1. That the City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach
be, and he is hereby, directed to advertise by publication
of notices for two weeks in the Huntington Beach News, for
bids for the furnishing, selling and supplying of gas to
said City of Huntington Beach, as follows:
(a) Natural gas to be delivered to said City at, or
within, its City limits in an amount not less than fifty
thousand cubic feet each day of twenty-four hours, for a
period not exceeding nine years , through a main not less
than four inches in diameter up to t-,e point of delivery
at Huntington Beach, said gas to have a, pressure of not less
than eight pounds per square inch at point of delivery, and
to contain not less than eleven hundred British Thermal heat
units.
(b) Natural gas to be delivered at, or within, the City
limits of Huntington Beach in an amount not less tran twenty-
five thousand cubic feet each day of twenty-four hours, for
a. period not exceeding nine years, through a main not less
than four inches in diameter up to the point of delivery at
Huntington Beach, said gas to have a pressure of not less
than eight pounds per square inch at point of delivery, and

to maintain not less than eleven hundred British Thermal
heat units.
(c) Artificial gas to he delivered at, or within, the
City limits of Huntington Beach in an amount not less than
twenty-five thousand cubic feet each day of twenty-four hours
during a period not exceeding nine years, through a main not
less than 4 inches in diameter up tc: the of
at Huntington Beach, said gas to have a pressure of not less
than S pounds per square inch at point of delivery, and to
contain not less than 600 British Thermal heat units.
2. That said publis_ned notices given by the City Clerk
shall specify that each bid must be accompanied by a sworn
statement showing the source, or sources, of supply from which
said bidder intends to obtain the gas sold by him to said City
and the nature and extent of the bidder' s rights to said sup-
ply; also , that each bid shall be sealed and delivered to the
said City Clerk on or before the 7th. day of February, 1916,
at eight o ' clock P.M. of said day, and that bids will be open-
ed and considered by this Board of Trustees at, or after eight
o'clock P. I. on that day at the office of said Board in the
City Hall of said City; and that the Board of Trustees reser-
ves the right to reject any and all bids, and to discrimin-
ate or select as between natural and artificial gas without
regard to the price at which the same may be offered.
3. That this Board of Trustees shall meet on the 7th.
day of February, 1916, at eight o ' clock P.M. of said day, and

at, or after, said hour shall publicly open and consider
all bids received, pursuant to said notices given by said
City Clerk, and thpt this Board reserves the right to re-
ject any and all bids, and to discriminate as between nat-
ural gas and artificial gas without regard to the price at
which the same may be off ered.

ifornia, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly introduced and read at a duly called end noticed special
meeting of said Board on the 19th. day of February, 1916, and
was thereupon at said meeting adopted by the following stated
vote:
