1 A Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the city of Huntington
2 Beach, California, declaring its intention to order certain portions
of certain streets in said city closed up, and providing that the
3 same be done under the provisions of an act of the Legislature of
the state bf California approved March 6th, 1899, and acts amendatory
4 thereto.
5 The Board of Trustees of the city of Huntington Beach, California
6 do hereby resolve'as follows:
7 Section 1. That the public interest and convenience require,and
8 that it is the intention of the Board 4°f Trustees of said city to order
9 the following described portions of certain streets in said city to be
10 closed up and abandoned as public streets, to-wit:

17 Yorktown Street as shown on that certain map of the East Side
18 Villa Tract recorded on Page 65 of Book 4 of Miscellaneous maps
19 Record of Orange County California. from the Northwesterly line
20 of Seventeenth Street as shown on the above mentioned map of the East
21 Side Villa Tract to the Easterly line of the right -of way of the
22 Southern Pacific Railroad Company,"
23 That portion of Wesley Avenue as shown on that certian map of
24 the Wesley Park Tract recorded on Page 16 of Book 4 of Miscellaneous
25 map records of Orange County, California, enclosed in the following
26 described boundary lines to-wit:
27 Beginning at the point of intersection- of the Westerly line of
28 � Park Place with the Southerly line, produced, of Wesley Avenue as
29 shown on that certain map of Tract #12 recorded on Page 13 of Book 9
30 of Miscellaneous maps Records of Orange County, California, and. runnigg
31 thence Southwesterly along the Southerly line of Wesley Avenue as shown
32 on said map of Wesley Park Tract to its intersection with the North-
!� erly line, produced of Loma Avenue thence Westerly along the Northerly
line of Loma Avenue to its intersection with the Easterly line,pro-
duced.,of Main Street �. A

1 as shown on the above mentioned trap of Tract #12 thence Northerly
2 along the produced Easterly line of Main Street to its intersection
3 with the Southeasterly boundary line of block (or lot) MA* of said
4 Tract 12. thence Northeasterly along the Southeasterly boundary line
5 of said Block (or lot) "A" to the Southerly Line of Wesley Avenue as
6 shown on said map of Tract #12. thence Easterly along said Souther-
7 ly sine of Wesley Avenue to point of beginning.
8 Section 2. That said Board of Trustees hereby determines and do
9 -clares that the proposed work is for the closing up of said portions
10 of said streets and that all of the owners of adjacent property and.
11 the property liable to be affected by the closing up of the said
12 portions of the said streets have rewuested that the said portions
13 of the said stroets be closed upI and that no damage or injury to
14 adjacent property will be done thereby and no costs incurred by the
15 closing up of the said portions of said stree;,s and that no assessment

16 is, or will be necessary to be made for the closing up of the said
17 portion of said streets.
18 Section S. That all of the herein proposed wook shall be done t
19 persuance of an act of the Legislature of the state of California
20 entitled ''"Ab act to provide for the laying out# opening,, extendings
21 , widening, straightening,, or closing up in whale, or in part, any •
22 street, square, lane ' alley, court or place within municipalities,
23 and to condemn and acquire any and all land and property necessary
24 or convenient for that purpose," approved March $th, 1888, and the
25 several acts amendatory thereof or supplemental theretno
26 Section 4. The Huntington' Beach News is hereby designated as
27 the Wdekly Newspaper published and circulated in said city in which �
28 the Street Superintendent of said city shall cause to be published
29 notice of the passage of-"this resolution.

6 he is now and was during all the times 4erein mentioned the duly `
7 appointed acting and qualified street superintendent of the City
8 of Huntington Beach, Californi#; that the Board of Trustees of the
9 City of Huntington Beach, California on the 3rd day of July, 1916
10 passed a Resolution of Intention No. 298 to order the following
11 stated work to be dome in said City, to-wit:
12 That Yorktown Street as shown on that certain map of the
13 East Side Villa Tract recorded on Page 65 of Book 4 of Miscellaneous
14 maps, Records of Orange County, CalWornia, from the Noathwesterly
15 line of Seventeenth Street as shown on the above mentioned map of
16 the East Side Villa. Tract to the easterly line of the right of way
17 of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company,
18 That portion of Wesley Avenue as shown on that certain
19 map of the Feeley Park tract, recorded on Page 16 Of Book 4 of
20 Miscellaneous maps, records of Orange County, California, enclosed
21 in the following described boundary lines, to-wit:

7 mines and declares that the proposed work is for the closing up of

said portions of said streets and that all of the ownersmf adjacent

10 of said portions of the said streets have requested that the said
11 portions of the said streets be closed up; and that no damage or
12 injury to adjacent property will be done thereby and` no costs in.
13 curred by the closing up of the said portions of said streets wed
14 that no assessment is, or will, be neoessary to be made for the
15 closing up of the said portion of said streets.
16 That immediately after the adoption of, said Resolution
17 of Intention No. 298 affiant caused to be conspicuously posted
18 along the line of said contemplated work and improvement at not
19 more than three: hundred feet in distance apart, and not less than
20 three in all, end along all the streets within said district men-
21 tionsd and described in said notice of intention, at not more than
22 three hundred feet in distance apart, and not 'less than three in
23 all, on each street notices of the passage of said Resolution'%of
24 Intention No. 298,a copy of said notices so posted is annexed
25 hereto and hereby referred to and by this reference made a part
26 hereof, that the posting of the said notices has been completed
27 and that the date of th+e completion of the posting of said
28
notices was July 10, 1916
