HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 314 I t t f RESOLUTION N0.314 A RESOLUTION DECLARING WEEDS GROWING UPON CERTAIN PRIVATE PROPERTY, STREETS AND SIDE- WALKS IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH TO BE A PUBLIC NUISANCE. The Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach do hereby resolve as follows : Section 1. That all weeds, which bear seeds of a wingy or downy nature, or which attain such a large growth as to become a fire menace when dry, or which are otherwise noxious or dangerous now growing upon the private property hereinafter described within the City of Huntington Beach, and upon the streets or sidewalks in front of an adjacent to said private property, are hereby declared to be a public nuisance, and hereafter said public nuisance shall be abated as provided by an act of the Legislature of the State of California, approved May 26th, 1915, and entitled, " An Act authorizing Municipalities to declare noxious or dangerous weeds growing upon streets or sidewalks, or upon private pro- perty within municipalities, to be a public nuisance, creating a lien upon the property fronting upon such streets or side- ways or upon which such nuisance exists for the cost of abating the same. Section 2.
