HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 345 RESOLUTION .NO. 345 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AWARD- ING THE CONTRACT FOR THE IMPROVEMEITT OF THE ALLEYS IN BLOCKS 104 - 204 - 203, HUNTINGTON BEACH. BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach, California: SECTION I . That said Board of Trustees having, in open session, on the 19th day of April, 1920, opened, examined and publicly declared all sealed proposals or bids offered for the laying of a Cement Concrete Pavement with Oil & Screenings 'fearing Surface and the Construction of Cement Concrete Curbs and Returns at intersections with adjoining Streets in the Alleys in Blocks 104 204 and 203 Huntington Beach, in accord- ance with the plans and profiles for said work on file in the office of the City Engineer of the City of Huntington Beach and with the specifications on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City: hereby rejects all said bids, except that next herein mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for said work to the lowest regularresponsible bidder, to-wit: to L. W. Davy & C. J. Kilmer doing business under the name of the Coast Concrete Company at the prices specified in their propo- sal, on file, for said work, namely for Cement Concrete Pavement with Oil and Screenings Fearing Surface per square foot nineteen i • and three quarters cents ( 0.19 3/4) . For Cement Concrete Curb and Returns per lineal foot ninety cents ( $0.90) . SECTION 2. That serial bonds, bearing interest at the rate of seven (7%) per cent per annum, and extending over a period of ten years from their date, shall be issued to rep- resent the cost and expense of said work and in the manner and form provided by law. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the pass- age of this Resolution and shall post notice of this award conspicuously, for a period of five days, on or near the en- trance to the City Hall and shall also cause said notice to be published by one insertion in the Huntington Beach News. PASSED and Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach, California, and signed by the Presi- dent thereof this 3rd day of May, 1920.
