RESOLUTION
NO. 358
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AWARD -
ING THE CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
CERTAIN SANITARY SEWER LATERALS IN SAID CITY.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of the City
of Huntington Beach, California:
SECTION I. That said Board of Trustees having, in
open session, on the fourth day of January, 1921, opened, exam-
ined, and publicly declared all sealed proposals or bids
offered for the construction of Sanitary Sewer Laterals Nos.
15-16-17-18-19-20-21-22, with the necessary manholes , flush-
tanks and cast-iron frames and covers, said Laterals being
situated in the district bounded by Fifteenth and Twenty-
third Streets, the Alley lying northeasterly from Ocean Avenue
and Palm Avenue in the City of Huntington Beach, said work to
be done in accordance with the Plans and Profiles on file in
the office of the City Engineer of the City of Huntington Beach
and with the Specifications on file in the office of the City
Clerk of said City; hereby rejects all of said bids, except
that next herein mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for
said work to the lowest regular responsible bidder, to-wit;
to Hlagenovich and Gillespie at the prices specified in their
proposal, on file, for said work, namely for sewer complete
•
per lineal foot one dollar and twenty-five cents ( 1.25) for
manholes complete one hundred dollars ( 100.00) , for flush-
tanks complete one hundred twenty-five dollars ( 125.00) .
SECTION 2. That serial bonds, bearing interest at
the rate of seven (7%) per cent per annum, and extending over
a period of ten years from their date, shall be issued to rep-
resent the cost and expenses of s aid work and in the manner
and form provided by law.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the pass-
age of this Resolution and shall post notice of this award
conspicuously, for a period of five days, on or near the entrance
to the City Hall and shall cause said notice to be published by
one insertion in the Huntington Beach News.
PASSED and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the
City of Huntington Beach, California, and signed by the Presi-
dent thereof this 10th day of January, 1921.

by certify that the foregoing Resolution was introduced and
passed and adopted by the Board of Trustees and signed by the
President thereof, and attested by the City Clerk at regular
meeting of said Board held on the loth day of January
1921, and that the same was passed and adopted by the following
vote:
