RESOLUTION
NO. 370
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIF—
ORNIA, DETERMINING AND DECLARING THAT
THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY DE—
MANDS THE ACQUISITION, CONSTRUCTION,
AND COMPLETION BY SAID CITY OF CERTAIN
MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENTS.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of the City
of Huntington Beach, 'California, as follows:
SECTION I. That it is hereby determined by the
Board of Trustees of the said City of Huntington Beach, Calif-
ornia, that the public interest and necessity demands the
acquisition, construction and completion in the City of Hunting-
ton Beach, California, of the following municipal improvements,
and each of them, to-wit:
(1) . The acquisition, construction and completion
of a building for municipal uses, to-wit: A building to be
used as and for a City Hall and Jail and other municipal
purposes including all furniture and fixtures necessary to
and convenient for the use thereof.
(2) . The acquisition of fire apparatus and equip-
ment for the prevention of fires within the City of Huntington
Beach.
(3) . The acquisition, construction and completion
of a municipal equipment, to-wit: A wharf extending into
the Pacific Ocean at the foot of Hain Street in said City of
Huntington Beach.
(4 ). The acquisition, construction and completion
of a. public assembly and convention hall, including all fur-
niture and fixtures necessary and convenient for the use
thereof.
SECTION 2. That it is hereby determined that the
said municipal improvements are, and each of them is neces-
sary and convenient to carry out the objects, purposes and
powers of said City of Huntington Beach.
SECTION 3 That it is hereby determined that the

cost of said municipal improvement described as the acquisi-
tion, construction, and completion of a building for municipal
uses, to-wit: A building to be used as and for a City Hall
and Jail and other municipal purposes including all furniture
and fixtures necessary to and convenient for the use thereof,
is and will be too great to be paid out of the ordinary an-
nual income and revenue of said City of Huntington Beach, and
that the estimated cost of said improvement is $60,000.00
Sixty Thousand Dollars ; and that it is and will be
necessary for the City of Huntington Beach to incur a, bonded
debt for the purpose of the acquisition, construction, and
completion of said municipal improvement.
SECTION 4. That it is hereby determined that the
cost of said municipal improvement described as the acquisi-
tion of fire apparatus and equipment for the prevention of

fire within the City of Huntington Beach, is and will be too
great to be paid out of the ordinary annual income and revenue
of said City of Huntington Beach, and that the estimated cost
of said improvement is $10,000.00 Ten Thousand Dollars:
and that it is and will be necessary for the City of Huntington
Beach to incur a bonded debt for the purpose of the acquisition,
construction, and completion of said municipal improvement.
SECTION 5. That it is hereby determined that the
cost of said municipal improvement, described as the acquisi-
tion, construction, and completion of a municipal equipment,
to-wit: A wharf extending into the Pacific Ocean at the foot
of Main Street in said City of Huntington Beach, is and will
be too great to be paid out of the ordinary annual income and
revenue of said City of Huntington Beach, and that the estima-
ted cost of said improvement is $20,000.00 Twenty Thousand
Dollars ; and that it is and will be necessary for
the City of Huntington Beach to incur a bonded debt for the
purpose of the acquisition, construction, and completion of
said municipal improvement.
SECTION 6. That it is hereby determined that the
cost of said municipal improvement described as the acquisi-
tion, construction, and completion of a public assembly and
convention hall, including all furniture and fixtures neces-
sary and convenient for the use thereof, is and will be too
great to be paid out of the ordinary annual income and reve-
nue of said City of Huntington Beach, and that the estimated

cost of said improvement is g25.1000.00 Twenty-five Thousand
Dollars ; and that it is and will be necessary for the

of the acquisition, construction, and completion of said muni-
cipal improvement.
SECTION 7. That the City Clerk shall attest this
Resolution and shall certify to the passage and adoption there-
of and the vote thereon; and shall cause the same, together
with his said certificate to be entered in the Book of Resolu-
tions of said City, and shall make a minute of the passage and
adoption thereof in the minutes of the meeting at which the
same is passed and adopted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Trustees of the
City of Huntington Beach, California., at a regular meeting of
said Board held on the 12th day of December , 1921.
