NO. 389
WHEREAS, at a Special Municipal Election held in
the City of Huntington Beach, Orange County, California, on
Tuesday, the 27th day of February, 1923, pursuant to Ordinance
No. 257 of said Citythe whole number of voters voting at said
Special Election was 646, the whole number of legal votes cast
was 641, end that thereof, 478 legal votes were cast in favor
of the adoption of the following proposition, to-wit:
Shall the City of Huntington Beach California,
incur a bonded debt in the sum of 4300,000.00
for the object and purpose of the acquisition,
construction and completion of certain street
Work, consisting of the improvement of the
main and connected thoroughfares, into and
from said City and more particularly described
as the lighting of Ocean Avenue and the paving
and improvement of Ocean Avenue, a portion of
Seventeenth Street and a portion of Delaware
Avenue, in the said City of Huntington Beach,
California.
AND THER. EAS, due notice of Special Municipal Elec-
tion was given, and said Special Election was held at the
time and in the manner in all respects as requested by said
Ordinance No. 257 of said City and that in all particulars
not recited in said Ordinance, said Special Municipal Elec-
tion was held as provided by law for holding Municipal
Elections in Cities of the Sixth Class;
AND WHEREAS, said Election was legally and fairly
conducted and the returns thereof were duly and regularly
made and certified to by this Board;
That said returns have been duly and legally can-
vassed by this Board;
AND WHEREAS, said proposition submitted to the
qualified voters of said City of Huntington Beach at said
Special Municipal Election was carried by more than two-
thirds of all the voters voting at said Special Municipal
Election, to-wit: there were 478 legal votes cast in favor
of proposition out of a total of 646 voters voting at said
Special Election.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of
Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach, that said propo-
sition was, and this Board hereby finds and declares that
said proposition was carried end adopted by the votes of
more than two-thirds. of all the voters voting at said Spe-
cial Municipal Election, and that said proposition be and
the same is hereby declared to be carried.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 28th day of February, 1923.

was duly adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of
Huntington Beach, State of California, and signed by the Presi-
dent of said Board at a regular meeting thereof, held on the
28th clay of February, 1.923, and that the same was passed and
adopted by the following vote:
