The Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington
Beach do resolve as follows:
Whereas, the Board of Trustees of the City of
Huntington Beach have heretofore advertised for bids for
doing the following described work, as required by law;
and whereas, pursuant to such advertising, the said Board
of Trustees of said City duly received, opened, and examined
said bids for doing the hallowing work, and whereas the
said Board duly and regularly rejected all bids received
for said work;
NOW THEREFORE, the said Board of Trustees, by
more than a four fifths vote of all its member doe hereby
determine and declare that in its opinion the work of ex-
cavating, grading and repairing the pavement of Delaware
Avenue in said City, from the South Line of Seventeenth _
Street to the South line of Frankfort Street, whereever
the same is broken, with asphaltic concrete patches, may
by performed more economically by day labor, and the mater-
ials or supplies furnished at a lower price in the open
market,
And the said Board does hereby further declare
that they will proceed to have the said work done in the
manner stated.
