The Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington
Beach, California, do resolve as follows:
SECTION 1
That the T)ublic interest and convenience require
and it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the
said City of Huntington Beach, California to order the
construction of the following described work and improve-
ment in said City, to-twit:
1. The construction of an ornamental lighting
system fully equipped with single light standards and single
lights and connected with three quarter (3/411 ) inch gal-
vanized electric conduit placed under ground adjacent to
the curb lines. There shall be Nineteen (19) of said. single
light standards, ten (10) on the '!esterly side end Nine (9)
on the E'a=-terly side of said Sixth Street, spaced ap ?roxim-
ately two hundred and tivrenty-nine (229) feet apart, more
or less, as shown on the hereinafter mentioned plan, They
shall be of a: single circuit and said circuit shall be
connected irrith the -oroposed circuit on Orange Avenue , at the
four. -ornery of the intersection of the said Sixth Street
and Orange Avenue as shown on the bla.ns.
The grade to which all of the above described work
shall be done and improvement made , shall be the grade as
shorn on theplan therefor, heretofore adopted, by the
Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach, on file
in the office of the City Engineer, to which said plan
reference is hereby made.
All of the foregoing work is filly set .forth,
delineated and described on the said plan and specifica-
tions therefor. , to which reference is hereby made for a
full, complete , pprticula4r and detailed desctiption of the
r�,ror.k.
SECTION 11
PLANT AND SPECT?MAJIONS
All of the said work and improvement shall be
done as shown upon and according to the -plan therefor num-
bered New Series 19 a,.nd according to specifications
numbered 48 for the construction_ of an ornamental
Lighting System on file in the office of the City Clerk. of
said City, and all of said plan and specifications have
been approved and adopted as the plan and specifications
to be followed in makins2 said improvement, and by reference
thereto, the same are incorporated herein and made a part
hereof and reference is hereby made thereto for a full,
complete and more particular description of said work.
SECTION 111
The Board of Trustees also determine and declare
that Serial Bonds shall be issued to represent the expense
of and be secured by the assessments *ofnich shall be made
to pay for the cost of said work and improvement.
THEMFORE: Notice is hereby given that Seri,a.l
Bonds to represent unpaid assessments and bear interest
at the rate of Seven (7%) per cent per a.nnum, will be is-
sued hereunder in the manner provided by the Improvement
Bond Act of 1915, the last installment of 10hich bonds shall
mature Nine (9) years from the Second (2nd) day of July
next succeeding? ten (10) months from their date.
SECTION 1V
That the contempl.-ted rrork and improvement herein-
before mentioned is, in the opinion of the Board of Trus-
tees of �'Iore than local or ordinary public benefit and the
expense of - said work and improvement Is made chargeable
upon the district hereinafter described, and said Board
to be the district
of Trustees does hereby declare said district/benefitted
by said work and improvement and to be assessed to pay the

cost and expense thereof, which district is bounded and

of Huntington Beach, California,, included within the fol-•

Commencing at the point of intersection of the
center line of Ocean Avenue v.rith the center line of Sixth
Street of said City, runnin; thence Northwesterly in a
straight line to the most westerly corner of Lot Five (5)
Block one hundred six (106 Huntington Beach Tract; thence
Northeasterly in a. str&ight line to the most 'Northerly
corner of said lot Five (5) , Block one hundred six (106) ;

of intersection of the produced center line of the alley
running through blocks 106, 206, and 306, Huntington Beach

lines the extent of the territory included In the proposed
district is on .file in the office of the City Engineer.
Reference is hereby made to the said plat or map for a
further, full and complete description of the said assess-
ment district. The said, plat or reap so on file shall go-
vern for ^11 details as to the extent of said assessment
district.
SECTION V
'IriE A"ID PLACE OF IfTWRING
Notice is hereby given that on ? onday the Sixth
day of October 1924, at 8:00 o' clock P.M. in the Council
Chamber of the Board of Trustees located in the City Hall
in the said City of Huntington Bep.ch, any and all persons
having any objections to the ,:rronosed work or improvement,
or to the extent of the district to be Pssessed or both,
or to the proposed grade or nronosed modification of grade
to which such iErork or improvement is to be done or made, _.
or all of them, Tray appear before the said Board of Trus-
tees and show cause why said proposed improvement should not
be carried out in accordance with this Resolution.
SECTION V1

The City Engineer is hereby directed to make a
diagram of the property affected or benef itted by the
nronosed lu^rk or improvement as described in this Resolu-
tion of Intention to be assessed to -pay the expense there-

of; such die,gram shall show each separate lot, piece or
parcel of land, the area in square feet of each of said
lot, -pieces or parcels of lend, and the relative location
of the se,me to the work rroposed to be done , all ---ithin
the 1.41mits of the sold assessment district.

The Street, Avenues and alleys .referred to in
this ?resolution of Intention are public in the said
City of H�zntington Beach.

of the legislature of the State of California, desirnE.ted
as "Tbe Imrrovement Act of 191111 , Approved April 7th., 1911,
and all Acts supplementary thereto or amendatory thereof
and the spid Serial Bonds stLa.11 he issued in accordance
rith the Improvement Bond Act of 1915 , approved Tune llth,
1915, anal all Acts supplementary thereto or a,menda.tory
thereof.
SECTION 1X
PU7r3LICATION OF RESOLUTION OF INTENTION
Thew being no daily newspaper published and cir-

culated in said City, The HuntingtonReach News, a vreekly
nev,'spaper -ublished and circulated and of general circu-
lation in the City of Huntington Beach, is hereby desig-
nated n.s the nevrsp-?.-)ter in vhich this Resolution of Inten-
tion shall be published, and the City Clerk of said City
is hereby directed to cz7iu-se this. Resolution of Intention
to be published for two (2) insertions in said newspaper
in the manner and form, required by law.
SECTION X
POSTING T-TOTICES OF TPP!',O'TFME!*TT
The Street Superintendent of said City shall after
the adoption of this Resolution of Intention ca,uqe to be
conspicuously nosted as required by lev! along the line of
said contemplated work or Imoroverfient and along all the
open streets vithIn the herein"oefore described Assessment
District notices in the manner and fori-_-, required by law of
the ps,se-P.,-e of this Resolution of intention. The Board
of Trustees does not deem it advisable that the Clerk mall
copies of the notice of the improvement to oviners or re-
puted ovmers, and he is not required to mail same.
Passed and adopted by the Board of Trustees - of
