The Board of "'rustees of the City of 14untin�°ton PeacTt, California, do resolve as follol s: SECTION 1 That the public interest a.nd convenience require and it is the intention of the Board of trustees of the said City of 'Tuntl.ngton Beach, C-­lifornia, to order the constrli.ction of the following described work and improve- ment in said City, to-«Tit: 1. The construction of an ornamental lighting system fully equipped with a single light standards a.nd single lights and connected with three quarter (3/4" ) inch galvanized electric conduit placed under ground ad- ,jacent to the curb Lines. There shall be t�.enty three (23) of said single light standards, helve (12) on the 'xJ e sterly side and eleven (11) on the I'asterly side of said Eighth Street spaced approximately two hundred e.nd twenty eir;ht (228) feet apart , more or less, a.s shown on the hereine,fter Tnentioned. plan. Thev shall be of a single circuit end said circuit shall terrmina.te on the pole of the Southern California. The grade to Which all of the above described work shall be done and improvement made shall be the grade as shorn on the plan therefor heretofore adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach on file in the office of the City Engineer, to which said plan reference is hereby model All of the foregoing work is fully set forth, delineated and described on the said plan and specifica- tions therefor to which reference is hereby made for a full, complete, pe•.rticult-.r and detailed descriptl.on of the work. SECTION 11 PLAN AND SPECIFICATIONS -2- SECTION 11 PLAN AND SPECIFICATIONS All of the said work and improvement shall be done as shown up^n and ccordin to the plan therefor numbered New Series 20 and according to specifications num- bered r_c _ for the construction of ornamental lighting stp.ndards and lights on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, a:nd all of said plan and. specifications have been approved and adopted as the plan and specifica- tions to be followed in making; said. improvement, and by reference thereto the same are incorporated herein and made a p^rt hereof and reference is hereby made thereto for a full, complete and more pa-.rticular description of said ,+pork. SECTION 111 The Board of Trustees also determine and declare that Serial Bands shall be issued to re-oresent the ex-nense of and be secured by the a.ssess�_(-nts which shall be made to Pay for the cost of staIa work and improvement. F?ER`'_,'PORE: Notice is hereby given that Serial Bonds to renre^ent unpaid assessments and bear interest at the rate of Seven (?%) per cent per annum, will be is- sued heretunder in the manner provided by the Improvement Bond Act of 1915, the last installment of which bonds shall mature Mine (9) years from the second (2nd) day of July next succeeding ten (10) months from their date. SECTION 1V -3- That the contemplated work and improvement here- inbefo.re mentioned is, in the opinion of the Board of Trustees of more than local or ordinary public benefit and the expense of said work and improvement is made charge- able upon the district hereinafter described, and said Board of Trustees does hereby declare said district to be the district benefitted by sold work and improvement and to be assessed to pay the cost and expense thereof, which district is bounded and described as follows, to-wit: All of that real aroperty situated in the City of Huntington Beach, California, included within the following described exterior boundary lines, to-wit Commencing Pt the point of intersection of the center line of Ocean Avenue with the center line of Sth Street in said City, thence running Northwesterly in a straiCht line to the most 7esterly corner of lot Five (5 ) in Bloc's 108, Hunt ink ton Beach Tract; thence Northwesterly in a straight line to the most Northerly corner of said lot Five (5) Block 108, Huntington Beach Tract; thence North- easterly in a. straight line to the point of intersection of the produced center line of the alley running through Blocks 108, 208, and 308, Huntington Beach Tract with the center line of Orange Avenue; thence Northeasterly in a straight line to the point of intersection of the produced center line of the alley running through Blocks 408, 508, and 608, Huntington Beach Main Street Section, with the center line of Palm Avenue, thence Southeasterly in a. -4- straight line along the center line of said Pala Avenue to the point of intersection of the produced center line of the alley running through Blocks 607, 507, and 407, Hun- tington Beach T sin Street Section; thence Southtxre:sterly in a, stra.ig;ht 'Line to the point of intersection of the produced venter line of the alley runnin,r throuprh said 5locks 607, 507, nand A_07, with the ;enter line of Orange Avenue , thence Southwesterly in re, stra,iCht Line along the center line of the alley running through Blocks 307, 207, r-�,nd 107, Huntington Beach Tract to the most Easterly corner of Lot Six (6 ) Block 107 Huntington Beach Tract; thence Southwesterly in fl straight line to the most Southerly cor- ner of said Lot Six (6) Block 107 unting;ton Beach Tract, thence in a straight line to the point of beginning, excep- ting therefrom any portion of any street or alley which is included within the abov e described district. The above description is general only. A plan, diagram or map of said district indicr.ting by boundary lines the extent of the territory included in the proposed district is on file in the office of the City Engineer. Reference is hereby made to the said plat or man for fur- ther full and complete description of the sr-id Assessment District. SECTION V TIyE A',ID FT _,kCE OF T--E.]ARING -5- i T Notice is hereby given th ._t on Monday the 6th day of October 1924, at 8:00 olclock. P.11,1. in the Council Chamber of the Board of Trustees, located in the City Hall, in the said City of Huntington Beach, any and all, persons having any ob.jections to the proposed work or improvement, or to the extent of the district to be assessed or both, or to the proposed grade or proposed modification of grade to which such work or improvement is to be done or made, or all of them, may appear 'Oefore the said Board of Trustees and shove cause why said proposed improvement sould not be carried out in accordance with this resolution. SECTION Vl DIAGRAM OF THE PROP7RTY TO BE ASSESSED. The City Engineer is hereby directed to make a diagram of the property affected or benifitted by the proposed -ork or improvement as described in this Resolu- tion of Intention to be assessed to pay the expense there- of; such diagram shall show each separate lot, niece or parcel of land, the area, in square feet of each of said lots, pieces or parcels of land and the relative location of the same to the work proposed to be done , all within limits of the said .Assessment District. SECTION Vll PUBLIC 74Ys The Streets , Avenues and alleys referred to in this Resolution of Intention are public ways in the said -6- City of Funtinc,ton Beach. SECTION V111 II.P'rWEET'M T ACT. Except Pas hereinbefore otherwise provided, for the issuance of said serial bonds, all of the proceedings for the aforesaid rork and improvement shall be had and. taken under and in accordc:.nce the p-ovisions of those 'acts of the Legislature of the State of California., desir;na.ted as 'The Improvement Act of 191111 , a.pproveO April 7th, 1911, =end all Acts sup-)lementery thereto or amendatory thereof and the said Serial Bonds shall be issued in accordance with the Improvement Bond Act of 1915, a.nproved J zne llth, 1915 , and all Picts supplementary thereto or amendatory thereof. There being no daily ne-�,spa.per published and cir- culated in said City, the Huntington Peach i?ews, a weekly newspaper published and circulpted end of general circula- ti.on in the City of Huntington Beach, is hereby designated as the nejv,sp'p" r in wrhich this Resolution of Intention shall be published, and the City Clerk of said City is hereby directed to ca u-,e this Resolution of. Intention to be -oub- lisped for V.-o (2) insertions in said newspaper in the man- Mes and form required by law.
