RESOLUTION
No. 560
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH,
STATE OF CALIFORNIA,DECLARING RESULT
OF ELECTION
WHEREAS, a Special Municipal Election was held and
conducted in the City of Huntington Beach, State of Cali-
fornia, on Tuesday the 16th day of November, 1926, as required
by law, and
WHEREAS, it appears that notice of said election was
duly and legally given,that voting precincts were properly
established, that election officers were appointed and election
supplies furnished, and that in all respects said election
was held and conducted and the votes cast thereat received
and canvassed, and the returns thereof made and delivered in
time,form and manner as required by the general laws of the
State of California governing elections in cities of tzI.e
fifth or sixth class, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of said City met at
the Council Chamber of the Board on Monday, the 22nd day of
November, 1926 to canvass the returns of said election, and as
a result of which the Board finds that the number of votes
cast, the propositions voted for, and other matters required
by law, to be as hereinafter stated, now therefore:
BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
That said Special Municipal Election was held and
conducted in the City of Huntington Beach, State of Calif-
ornia, on Tuesday the 16th day of November, 1926, in time,
form and manner as required by law:
That there were four (4) voting precincts established
for the purpose of holding said election, consisting of a
consolidation of the regular election precincts established
for holding general State and County elections as follows:
Consolidated Voting Precinct "A", comprising State
and County precincts numbers 1, 2 and3;
Consolidated Voting Precinct "B", comprising State
and County precincts numbers 4, 5 and 6;
Consolidated Voting Precinct "C" , comprising State
and County precincts numbers 7 and 8;
Consolidated Voting Precinct "D", comprising State
and County precincts numbers Sand 10;
That the whole number of votes cast in said City
was Eleven Hundred eighty-two (1182) :
That the number of Propositions voted upon,the
number of votes given in each precinct for and against each
of said propositions, together with the whole number of votes
which they received in the entire City, are as follows:

THEREFORE IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that at said Special
Municipal Election Proposition No. 2 submitted to the elec-
tors to .adopt an Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 209 of
said City entitled " An Ordinance of the City of Huntington
Beach, California, establishing a Business and Residence Dis-
trict in said Oity and prohibiting the establishment or main-
tenance of certain businesses and industries in said Dis-
tricts" pursuant to the provisions of Resolution No.559 of
the Board of Trustees of said City was adopted.
The Clerk shall enter on the Minutes,records of the
Board a statement of the result of the said election, showing:
.1) The whole number of votes cast in said City;
(2) A statement of the Propositions voted on, and
(3) The number of votes given at each precinct for
and against each of said propositions, and
(4) The total number of .votes given in said City for
and against each of said propositions voted upon.
The Prsident of the Board of Trustees shall sign the
said Ordinance adopted by the people of the City of Huntington
Beach.

of the Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach,
California hereby certify that the above and foregoing
Resolution No 560 was duly and regularly introduced and
adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of Hunt-
ington Beach at a regular adjourned meeting held on the
22nd day of November,1926,by the following vote,to-wit:
