RESOLUTION
NO. 602
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUS-
TEES (CITY COUNCIL) OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH DECLARING
AND DETERPVIINING THAT PUBLIC CON-
VENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE
THE INSTALLATION OF ADDITION,'
FIRE HYDRANTS ALONG MAIN STREET
IN SAID CITY.
The Board of Trustees (City Council) of the City
of Huntington Beach do resolve as follows:
Section 1. RESOLVED, that putrlic convenience and
necessity require the installation and maintenance of addi-
tional fire hydrants in said city, to-wit: three additional
fire hydrants S�anr3a►a a sj3r inrh -Fire 'hydrant to be installed
along the West side of Main Street, between Utica Street
and Union Avenue in said city; and
Section 2. RESOLVED, that Huntington Beach Water
Company, a public utility of the State of California, and
owning and operating the water lines and pipes and engaged
as such utility in the business of distributing water through
their said lines to the inhabitants for domestic and indus-
trial purposes and to the City of Huntington Beach for all
municipal purposes, be notified to day adequate lines for
servicing said fire hydrants, to-wit:
an eight inch water main, cast iron pipe,
and,

�{{Section 3. RESOLVED, that in the event of the
failure 01 ysaid public utility to furnish said service,
oT its' neglect so to do, the City Attorney be, and he is
hereby instructed to appeal to t)xe Railroad Commissl6nnof
the State of California for the relief required, and that
the city Engineer prepare a plat and blue prints of the
proposed location for said water lines, and hydrants.

(City Council) of the City of Huntington Beach this 7th
day of November, 1927.
