HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 606 • RESOLUTION NO. 606 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Be it resolved by the City Council of Hunting- ton Beach: Section 1. That the general municipal election to be held in the City of Huntington Beach on the 9th day of April, 1928, shall be held and conducted pursuant to the following provisions therefor; which provisions are hereby determined and adopted by the City :Council of said City torhold`izg said election. 1. That at said election there will be four voting precincts consisting of a, consolidation of the regular election precincts last established for holding general State or County elections as dollows: Consolidated voting precinct „A"comprising state and county precincts numbers five (5) and six (6) , and the polling place thereof shall be at Grammar School Building located at or near the intersection of Fifteenth Street and Palm Avenue on the Northeasterly side of Palm Avenue in said City; Consolidated voting precinct "B" comprising state and county election precincts numbers Three (3) and Four (4) and the polling place thereof shall be at the Medthodist Church Bungalow Sunday School Room located on the Northerly corner of the intersection of Eleventh Street and Orange Avenue in said City; Consolidated voting precinct "C" comprising state and county election precincts numbers One (1) and Two (2) , and the polling place thereof shall be inthe Municipal Auditorium located at or near the intersection of Magnolia Avenue and Fifth Street in said city, on the Northerly side of Fifth Street; and Consolidated voting precinct "D" comprising state and county election precincts numbers Seven (7) and Eight (8) , and the polling place thereof shall be at M.M.Hallicy store, located on the Southeasterly corner of Frankfort Street and Alabama Avenue in said city. 2. That the polls will be open between the hours of 7:00 o'clock A.M. and 6:00 o'clock P.M. 3. That the Election Board for consolidated voting precinct "A" shall be as follows: Inspector, George W Wardwell Judge, Mrs. Beulah E Westmoreland Judge, Clerk, Mrs. Sadie Harris Clerk, Ethel F Schafer That the Election Board for consolidated voting Precinct "B" shall be as follows: Inspector, Mrs. Gertrude Catching; -2- Judge, Lars. Stella Hitterdahl Judge, Clerk, Kiss Mary A. Turner Clerk, Mrs. Hattie Covert That the Election Board for consolidated voting precinct "C" shall be as follows: Inspector, James G. Hu$st Judge, Mrs. Lena B. Heaston Judge, Clerk, _ Mrs. Minnie Higgins Clerk, Mrs. Helen L. Darst That the Election Board for consoldiated voting precinct "D" shall be as follows: Inspector, Ray H., Overaker Judge, Mrs. Anna M. Flaws Judge, Clerk, Mrs. Lela Dowty vClerk, Mrs. Florence -. Preston 4. That each of said officers above mentioned is an elector and a resident of the consolidated voting precinct for which he or she is appointed. 5. Said election officers shall each receive as compensation for their services in serving upon said election board the sum of $7.00. 6.
