HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 610 RESOLUTION NO. 610 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EMPLOY- MENT OF CERTAIN WORK AND LABOR IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AND FIXING THE RATE OF COM- PENSATION THEREFOR. Be it resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach as follows: 1. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized to employ one clerk at a salary of $125.00 per month to assist in the office of the City Clerk in keeping the records thereof. 2. That the City Engineer is hereby authorized to employ one combined deputy clerk, time keeper, bookkeeper and engineer draftsman at a salary of $165.00 per month; one caretaker and janitor for the Municipal Pier for`� 125.00 per month; one ladies maid for the Municipal Pier rest room at the sum of $50.00 per month; one yard man at the storage yards of the City of Huntington Beach At the sum of $100.00 per month. 3. That the following labor wage scale be the wage scale to be paid for all labor furnished to the City of Huntington Beach, specifically provided for; for labor by the day rate of $4.00, $4.50, $5.00 and $6.00 and by the hour rate, the sum of .50; .56*-, .62j, and .75 per hour; providing that any employee has been in the em- ployee of the City of Huntington Beach for a period of not less than one year that the City Engineer or other officers empldying such persons, shall in his descretion place said employee on the monthly pay roll at the sum of $130.00 per month and such employee shall thereupon and thereafter, while in such employee be allowed 15 days vacation each year. Passed and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach at their regular adjourned meeting held on the 7th day of May, 1928.
