NO. 618
Be it resolved by the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach:
That certain oil derrick now located -near the
northwesterly corner of Eleventh street and Acacia avenue
certain
in the City of Huntington Beach, upon that real/property
described as f olloT.s:
Block Five Hundred Eleven (511)
Seventeenth Street Section as
shown on map recorded in book 4
at page 10 of Miscellaneous heaps,
Orange County Records
is now and for a long time last past has constituted a pub-
lic nuisance and is injurious' and dangerous to public health
and is offensive to the public senses and obstructive to
the free use of property so as to interfere with the com-
fortable enjoyment of life and property and unlawfully ob-
structs the free passage and use in the customary manner
of public streets and the same is hereby declared to be a
nuisance and the City Attorney and City Engineer of the City
of Huntington Beach is hereby instructed to bring such action
in the name of the People of the State of California as may
be necessary to abate such public nuisance.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California,
at a regular adjourned meeting of said Council held on the
17th day of December, 1928.
