RESOLUTION
NO. 628
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AWARDING
AND SELLING HUNTINGTON BEACH MUNICI
PAL WHARF BONDS, 1930, AND HUNTINGTON
BEACH MUNICIPAL WHARF EXTENSION BONTDS,
1930, IN THE TOTAL SUPS OF $1229000.00
TO DEAN WITTER & CO. , OF LOS ANGELES,
CALIFORNIA, AND PROVIDING FOR DELIVERY
OF SAME TO SAID PURCHASER.
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach
resolves as follows:
WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach has issued
the following Municipal Bonds, to-wit:
"Huntington Beach Municipal Wharf Bonds, 1930, "
in the sum of Sixty Thousand Dollars ( 60,000.00) ,
dated Marsh 1, 1930, bearing interest at the rate of
five per cent (5%) per annum, payable semi-annually,
In accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No.
331 of said City, and
"Huntington Beach Municipal Wharf Extension Bonds,
1930", in the sutra of Sixty-Two Thousand Dollars
( 62,000.00) , dated March 1, 1930, bearing interest
at the rate of five per cent '(6%) per annum, payable
semi-annually, in accordance with the provisions of
Ordinance No. 331 of said City; and
WHEREAS, Dean Witter & Co.lp of Los Angeles, Cal-

ifornia, bid the sum of par and accrued interest to the
date of delivery, and a premium of Two Thousand Nine Hun-
dred Eighty-nine Dollars ( 2,989.00) , for all of said bonds,
and said sum so bid was the highest and best bid receded
for said bonds, and each and all thereof, and the highest
sum bid therefor;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said bid
of Dean Witter & CO. , for said bonds be and the same is
hereby accepted, and said bonds-, and all of them, are here-
by sold and awarded to said Dean Witter & Co. in pursuance
of said bid therefor; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That all other bids
received for said bonds are hereby rejected and that Sam-
uel R. Bowen, Mayor of said City, and Charles R. Furr,
City Clerk of said City, be and they are hereby authorized
duly to execute said bonds in accordance with the provisions
of said Ordinance No. 331 of said City and to deliver the
same to Joseph Vavra, City Treasurer of said City, for signa-
ture by him and delivery to said purchaser in accordance
herewith upon payment to him of said sum of par and accrued
interest to date of delivery, and premium therefor, as
aforesaid.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution and its approval by the Mayor; thereupon
and there-after the same shall be in full force and effect.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution
was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, at a
regular adjourned meeting therof on the 24th day of March,
1930, by the following vote:
