HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 642 RESOLUTION NO. 642 The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, Califprnia, do resolve as follows: WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Hunting- ton Beach have heretofore advertised for bids for doing the following described work, as required by law, and WHEREAS, pursuant to such advertisement, the said City Council of said City duly received, opened and examined said bids for doing the following work,and WHEREAS, the said City Council regularly rejected all bids received for said work: NOW THEREFORE, the said City Council, by more than a four-fifths vote,-,of all its members does hereby determine and declare that in its opinion the work of con- structing five recreation buildings and the remodeling of the Huntington Beach Company' s pump house, all on the Muni- cipal Pleasure pier, owned and operated by said City of Huntington Beach, may by performed more economicklly by day labor, and the materials or supplies furnished at a lower price in the open market. .And the said City Council does hereby further declare that it will proceed to have the said done work and materials furnished in the manner stated. Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, at a regular adjourned meeting, this the 5th day of May, 1931.
