WHEREAS, God in His Infinite wisdom has taken from
our midst our beloved friend and co-worker
HARVEY S. YOUNG.
and
`'HEREAS, it is the wish of the Mayor and City
of Huntington Beach to express in some humble manner their
deep sorrow and sympathy to the bereaved family:
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City _,:Hall
of the City of Huntington Beach be closed on Friday, the 23rd
day of J une, 1933, and that no work be done on that day
between the hours of twelve o 'clock noon and five o 'clock
p. m. , thereby giving all officials and employees of the City
opportunity to extend their sympathy and consolation to the
bereaved family, and to render respect and tribute to the
memory of so good a man as our departed friend and City Trea-
surer, Harvey S. Young.
He was a highly respected citizen, a just and up-
right man and a faithful and efficient officer and servant
of the people. His loss will be felt, not only by those of
his immediate family, but by his host of friends and associates.
His high ideals and many virtues will ever remain deep in the
memories of those who knew him.

And yet, we know how much more deeply his loss
is felt by his immediate family. To them we can only say
"May the Supreme Ruler of the Universe, is His Infinite wis-
dom fortify you with resignation in this hour of sorrow, and
comfort you with the Divine assurance that the spirit of the
departed, honored and loved one, is happy in his Father's
house. "
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Reso-
lution be sent to the bereaved family and that the same be
spread on the minutes of this Council.
