RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH,
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach do
resolve as follows%
WHEREAS, an oil and gas lease was made on the 12th
day of August, 1932, by and. between the City of Huntington
Beach, as the Lessor, and the Carr Oil Corporation as the
Lessee, and which oil and gas lease grants and leases to
said Carr Oil Corporation the exclusive right and. privilege
to drill for, mine, extract, remove and. d.ispose of all of
the oil, g&s and other hydrocarbon deposits in or under the
following described tracts of land situate in the City of
Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California,
and. more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at a point on Ocean Avenue
in said City of Huntington Beach, County of
Orange, State of California, where the west-
erly line of 23rd Street intersects the
Pacific Electric right-of-way; thence north-
westerly along the line of said Pacific Elec-
tric right-of-way to the Northwesterly boun-
dary line of the City of Huntington Beach;
thence northeasterly along said northwesterly
boundary line of said city thirty (30) feet
to a point on Ocean Avenue; thence southeast-
erly on Ocean Avenue along a line parallel
to and. thirty (30) feet equidistant from said
Pacific Electric right-of-way to the westerly
line of 23rd Street; thence southerly along
said westerly line of 23rd Street to the
point of beginning; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of both the City of Huntington
Beach and the Carr Oil Corporation, to amend said lease of
oil and gas lands above mentioned. as provided in the "Amend-
ment No. Three of Lease of Oil and Gas Lands," a copy of
which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and by this re-
ference made a part hereofo

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
said City of Huntington Beacn, that said City Council of
said City of Huntington Beacn hereby authorizes and directs
the making and entering into by and on behalf of said
City of the"Amendment No. Three of Lease of Oil and Gas
Lands" above mentioned to the Carr Oil Corporation, a
corporation organized and existing under and by virtue of
the laws of the State of California and the execution,
signatures and acknowledgement of said "Amendment No. Three
of Lease of Oil and Gas Lands" by and on behalf of said
City of Huntington Beacn by the Ifayor of said city and the
attestation to the same by the City Clerk, which said "Amend-
ment No. Three of Lease of Oil and Gas Lands" shall bear
date the 28th day of June, 1933, and shall provide for a new
section to be known as Section 13 of said oil and gas lease
above described and which section shall exclude certain
areas from such lease, a copy of which amendment NO-3 of
lease of oil and gas lands is attached hereto, marked Ex-
iiibit "A" and is hereby approved by said City Council of
said City of Huntington Beacn.
Passed and adopted by the said City Council at a
regular adjourned meeting held on the 28th day of June
1933

AMENDMENT'NO. THREE OF LEASE
OF OIL AND GAS LANDS.
THIS AMENDMENT NO. THREE of Lease entered into in
duplicate, this day of 19330 by and be-
tween the CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, a Municipal Corpora-
tion., Party of the First Part, hereinafter called the
Lessor, and CARR OIL CORPORATION, a corporation, Party
of the Second Part, hereinafter called. the Lessee,
W I T N E S S E T H:

THAT, WHEREAS, an Oil and Gas Lease was made on the
12th day of August, 1932, by and between CITY OF HUNTINGTON
BEACH as the Lessor, and the CARR OIL CORPORATION as the
Lessee, and which Oil and Gas Lease granted and leased to
the Lessee the exclusive right and privilege to drill for.,
mine, extract, remove and. dispose of all of the oil, gas
and other hydro-carbons deposited in or under the following
described tracts of land situate in the City of Huntington
Beach, County of Orange, State of California, and more par-
ticularly described as follows:
Commencing at a point on Ocean Avenue in said
City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange,
State of California, where the westerly line of
23rd Street intersects the Pacific Electric
right-of-way; thence northwesterly along the
line of said Pacific Electric right-of way to
the northwesterly boundary line of the City of
Huntington Beach; thence northeasterly along
said northwesterly boundary line `'of said city
thirty (30) feet to a point on Ocean Avenue;
thence southeasterly on Ocean Avenue along a
line parallel to and thirty feet equidistant
from said Pacific Electric right-of-way to the
westerly line of 23rd Street; thence Southerly
along said westerly line of 23rd. Street to the
point of beginning; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of both the lessor and the
lessee to amend said lease of oil and gas lands above men-
tioned in the particulars hereinafter provided.

NOVA, THEREFORE, in consideration of the sum of
Ten Dollars ( 10000) paid by the Carr Oil Corporation
to said City of Huntington Beach, and in consideration
of the above premises, it is mutually understood and
agreed that said. lease may be amended as follows:

A new section to be known as Section 13 is hereby
inserted in said lease, which new Section 13 is as follows:
It is understood and agreed by and. between the
lessor and the lessee that the Huntinon Beach
Company, a corporation, Standard Oil ompany of
California, a corporation, and Pacific Electric
Railway Company, a corporation, are now and, for
some time past have been using certain portions
of the property herein leased for the purpose
of ingress to and. egress from the property owned
by the said Huntington Beach Company, Standard
Oil Company and Pacific Electric Railway Company.
It is the purpose and. intent to exclude from this
lease such areas as hereinafter described. It is
understood and agreed by and between lessor and
lessee that lessor will not lease for the produe-
tion of minerals, oil, gas or other hydr-carbons,
such property so excluded from this lease. Said
lessee agrees to deliver and execute to lessor a
quit-claim deed covering the areas so excluded,
it being the intention of both lessor and lessee
that such areas so excluded shall not be considered
to be any part or portion of the premises herein
leased, It is understood and. agreed that the
areas excluded. from this lease are as follows:
Area 1:
This area is approximately 195 feet- northwesterly
of the center line of 23rd Street where private
road crosses Pacific Electric Railway right-of-way
and where Pacific' Electric has a passenger landing.
Such area excluded from this lease is particularly
described as follows:
Commencing at a point on the southwesterly
line of Ocean Avenue, which point is 195 feet
westerly from the intersection of the prolon-
gation of the center line of 23rd Street with
the southwesterly property line of Ocean Avenue;
thence northwesterly along the southwesterly
property line of Ocean Avenue 190 feet to a
point on said line; thence northeasterly at
right angles to the southwesterly property line
of Ocean Avenue 30 feet to a point on said
avenue; thence southeasterly on said Ocean Avenue
190 feet along a line parallel to and 30 feet
equidistant from the southwesterly property line
of Ocean Avenue to a point opposite the point of
beginning; thence southerly to the point of
beginning.

Area 2:
This area is approximately 645 feet northwesterly of
the center line of 23rd Street where 6tandard Oil
Company of California now maintains eleven pipe lines
which cross Ocean Avenue at right angles. Such area
excluded from this lease is particularly described
as follows:
Commencing at a point on the southwesterly libe
of Ocean Avenue which point is 645 feet westerly
from the intersection of the prolongation of the
center line of 23rd Street with the southwesterly
property line of Ocean Avenue; thence northwes-
terly along the southwesterly property line of
Ocean Avenue fifty feet to a point on said line;
thence northwesterly at right angles to the
southwesterly property line of Ocean Avenue 30
feet to a point on said Avenue; thence south.
easterly on said. Ocean Avenue 50 feet along a
line parallel to and 30 feet equidistant from
the southwesterly property line of Ocean Avenue
to a point opposite the point of beginning;
thence southerly to the point of beginning*
Area 3:
This area is approximately 942 feet westerly from the
center line of 23rd Street where a power line crossing
is maintained and. which power line crosses Ocean Avenue
at right angles. Such area excluded from this lease
is particularly described as follows:
Commencing at a point on the southwesterly line
of Ocean Avenue which point is 942 feet westerly
from the intersection of the prolongation of the
center line of 23rd Street with the southwesterly
property line of Ocean Avenue; thence northwesterly
along the southwesterly property line of Ocean
Avenue 50 feet to a point on said line; thence
northeasterly at right angles to the southwesterly
property line of Ocean Avenue 30 feet to a point
on said Ocean Avenue; thence southeasterly on
said Avenue 50 feet along a line parallel to and
30 feet equidistant from the southwesterly property
line of Ocean Avenue to a point opposite the point
of beginning; thence southerly to the point of
beginning*
Area 4:
This area is approximately 3312 feet westerly from the
center line of 23rd. Street where Standard Oil Company
of California now maintains six pipe lines, which cross
Ocean Avenue at right angles and. where Standard Oil
Company of California has a private road crossing to
its Well No. 2 on the bluff side of Ocean Avenue.
Said area excluded from this lease is particularly
described as follows:

Commencing at a point on the southwesterly line
of Ocean Avenue which noini is 3312 feet westerly
from the intersection of the prolongation of the
center line of 23rd Street with the southwesterly
property line of Ocean Avenue; thence northwesterly
70 feet to a point on said line; thence northeasterly
at right angles to the southwesterly property line of
Ocean Avenue 30 feet to a point on said Avenue;
thence southeasterly on said Ocean Avenue 70 feet
along a line parallel to and 30 feet equidistant
from the southwesterly property line of Ocean Avenue
to a point opposite the point of beginning; thence
southerly to zne point of beginning.
ARea 5: , e
This area is approximately 3621 feet westerly from the
center iiiie, of 23rd :treet where a power line crossing
is maintained and which power line crosses Ocean Avenue
at right angles. Such area excluded from this lease
le particularly described as follows:
Commencing at a point on the southwesterly line of
Ocean Avenue, which point is 3621 feet westerly from
the intersection of the prolongation of the center
line of 23rd Street with the southwesterly property
line of Ocean Avenue; thence northwesterly along
the southwesterly pro-
perty line of Ocean Avenue 50
feet to a point on said line; thence northeasterly
at right angles to the southwesterly property line
of Ocean Avenue 30 feet to a point on said avenue;
thence southeasterly on said Ocean Avenue 50 feet
along a line parallel to and 30 feet equidistant
from the southwesterly property line of Ocean Avenue
to a point opposite the point of beginning; thence
southerly to the point of beginning.
Area 6:
This area is approximately 5104 feet northwesterly
from the center line of 23rd Street where the Pacific
Electric Railway has a passenger landing. Such area
excluded from this lease is particularly described as
follows:
Commencing at a point on the southwesterly line
of Ocean Avenue which point is 5104 feet westerly from
the intersection of the prolongation of the center
line of 23rd Street with the southwesterly property
line of Ocean Avenue; thence northwesterly along the
southwesterly property line of Ocean Avenue 100 feet
to a paint on said line; thence northeasterly at right
angles to the southwesterly property line of Ocean
Avenue 30 feet to a point on said Avenue; thence south-
easterly on said Ocean Avenue 100 feet along a line
parallel to and 30 feet equidistant from the south-
westerly property line of Ocean Avenue to a point
opposite the point of beginning; thence southerly to
the point of beginning.

It is further covenanted. and agreed that said. amend-
ments to said lease above mentioned: shall inure to 'the
heirs, executors, administrators, successors or assigns of
the respective parties hereto.
That said lease as amended shall be considered as in
full force and. eff eet as of the date hereof.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City of Huntington Beach has
caused its- corporate name and. seal to be hereunto affixed
by its Mayor and. attested by the City Clerk under a thority
vested in them by the City Council at a re�O �Q� adjauT°a
meeting held on the AS day of June, 1933, and the
Carr Oil Corporation has caused its corporate name and seal
to be affixed hereto and this instrument to be executed by
its 'Vige resident and secretary thereunto duly authorized
on the day and year first hereinabove written.
